Did you get a cel though? That is if you decide to keep them. Maybe a phone call to their tech instead of email?

The fact that r44 isn't responding to this thread with an explanation is shady…

Ha! Why would I install? They didn't send me what I bought. I didn't even unwrap the 2nd pipe. I'll give them a chance to make it right, I hope they do the right thing.

Zach here from R44, sorry for the delay on my response I have been on holiday.

I just pulled the production team into a meeting regarding this and they have been working out what has happened. Our customer sales team have been talking to a few customers directly regarding this.

We have been using the threaded spacer on a fair few cars here in London and all works a treat. we of course want to supply each customer with the correct parts.

Currently we believe there was a mistake on the production / fulfilment of the last batch of DP’s as we now sell a fair few variants.

Our production manager has actioned a large batch to be made this week and ship out next week to anyone effected.

If anyone on here has been effect if you can send an email to info@r44performance.co.uk with your order number and mentioned you have seen this post. We will take care of the rest. (We are here for the community and building cars!!)

Again all sorry for the delay, I’m back in the office and ready to have some fun with the G8X projects!!

Thanks again,
Zach - Sales manager
I am more confused why do we have to reach out?! I just oredered catless Dp's and paid for speedy delivery and they don't have any mini -cat's. You have the customers info on order's placed? I could have ordered a pair here in the US and $aved! The production team tried to pull a fast one. I want a partial refund, how many different DP's and differences in cost?

I have ordered several carbon items from them and they shipped quickly like they were coming from within the US.

Did the dahler really not help with the sound as I feel it's the flaps that are ruining it for me.

If I go with their catted DP , is there a point to have the dahler still?
The Dahler valve controller does make a big difference in sound but it wasn't loud enough for me personally, which is why I added downpipes. I still use the valve controller for cold starts and driving around in garages. With the valves fully open it's loud enough to set off car alarms, especially on cold starts.

Out of all the downpipes they had manufactured , there was a bad batch.
You and a few others received downpipes from that bad batch.
Reach out to them and they will correct the mistake.
Simple.
You need to read the thread before you type!

It's hard to believe manufacturing just happened to forget to put the mini cat in. They didn't. The only reasoning, giving R44 the benefit of the doubt, outsources their production and the manufacturer ran out of mini cats and substituted without informing R44. Since the manufacturer direct ships to R44 customers, R44 did not know what default product their customers were getting until the uproar about the swapped downpipe product happened. Once again just a theory giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Just got mine today as well, although they should've been here last Friday. DHL tried to deliver them to my business at 7pm at night on a Friday and then didn't send them back out for re-delivery until today. But whatever. It sounds like all 3 of us just got a set, so hopefully they came from a good batch. And I hope I can find someone to install these along with an MST intake and JB4 soon.
