How did Modat’s close but yours did not? Weren’t you guys at the same port?

My RAM closed yesterday, and PMA was about 2 weeks ago in SC VPC.

His boat came in on a Wednesday. My boat came in on a Friday. Two days of difference which will equal to like 2 months of waiting compared to when he will get his car to when I will get mine. If I could of only freaking made it on the same boat. To be fair. There were several guys that came off the boat with modat. Their stop sales got closed within a day. Lucky mofos lol.

Ugh...We're having the nicest, sunniest spring I can recall up here in Anchorage and my M4 Comp. Convertible is still stuck at Port Hueneme. I'm sure when it finally gets here it'll start raining every day.

Same here! Just closed this morning. Hopefully we get our cars in this coming week.

Just called genius and they said estimated time for my car to be at the dealership is the 26th. Hopefully that's accurate🤞🏽

I didn't call genius. My dealer told me 29-30th. 26 would be amazing turnaround.

That's what I thought as well, but the port is an 8 hour ride from my dealer so not impossible 🤷🏽*♂️

Im new here and could really use some insight.
I ordered a 22 M3 Comp in January of this year. I was 5th in line in the order bank. And as of April, I was first. Till this day, my sales rep keeps giving me different excuses.

1. Shortage on parts
2. Manufacturing moved to Africa
3. The war is slowing things down
4. Production halted for a while
5. In July they will start production on the 23 models

What the hell is happening here? Am I getting utter BS of is this all true?

Welcome! You were unfortunately a few months late throwing your hat in the ring, for things to go smoothly. I think 1, 3, 4 and 5 all have some truth to them. 2 is true, but I don’t believe it affects G8x cars at all. For example, so many US-made X3s were exported, that many dealers (at least on the East coast) are currently getting boatloads of X3s from South African production. Very odd, when South Carolina is right here.

Sounds like you’re next in line for a ‘23 allocation at your dealer??
