Determining Which Ship You're On

Up until now, you have been getting updates from BMW Genius that are generally within the last 24 hours accurate. But this is where the updates slow down. To start, you will not know your car is on a ship until about 2 days AFTER it's already been put onto a ship and left the dock. The most common carrier used for BMW is Wallenius and Wilhelmsen, with Kline and NYK a close second. Below is a link to the various shipping companies BMW uses and their shipping schedules or search pages. Here you can play for hours, searching the possible ships your car will be on based upon the destination port and shipping date, etc.

About 2 days after you are on a ship that has left port, BMW Genius can also provide the name of the ship and estimated date of arrival at your port of destination.

However, if your car ends up on a WW boat (Wallenius Wilhemlsen), your VIN will show up in their search page about 2 days after your car has left the dock. Simply go here and enter your VIN into the Cargo ID field. I see 2 RORO boats in Bremerhaven. The MANON (WW) is moored and the SELENE LEADER (NYK) is just docking now. The website doesn't list the next port but I'd bet one of those 2 boats is coming to the east coast.

Noob to the forum, first M car. I’ve done the order thing before (F30 335i, G05 X5 x40i), but this one is special. FINALLY changed status from Production Begins to Exterior Assembly sometime today (I check once or twice a day). Hopefully things move quicker so BMW books these sales for 2023? One can hope.

Chrome inspect reveals production date to be 11/10/23.

I was initially told that mine would be production week 47. Just called the Genius and looks like I got moved up to week 45 since then. The Genius told me that mine is about 2 weeks ahead of schedule for build week 45 as well (as the production date was supposed to be 11/10).
The delivery estimate is around the first few weeks of December (if true, I will be extremely happy, since my dealer initially told me mid-January)

One day between Exterior Body Assembly and Paint Booth status Happy to hear this, I had seen some rumors around that ordering Dravit Grey could delay the build. Methinks applying "Individual" paint timing is different since it's a direct optional build color, vs. going through the separate INDV process?

Oooookaaaay, i was not able to add my m3 to the mybmw app because my dealer gave me the wrong vin….. it was so strange that my vin started with WBA and not with WBS….i tried with wbs and works fine
And my color is not green yet because of individual color….
