My 162K Porsche 911 S had a 4600 dollar Akrapovic exhaust. I sold it after a week because it was too loud on cold start. The design on the 911 exhaust is far more complicated than the bmw version and its only 4600. The BMW one is a "slip on" and its pushing 10K? Um no. The only reasons its 10K is because people with your kind of thinking fall for it the "first out" price gaff. 10K for an exhaust...

Agreed! I'm not knocking the inner mod-bug, but aside from the quality craftsmanship, the exhaust doesn't sound particularly better than stock to my ears……..especially considering the exorbitant cost. The G8X actually sounds pretty darn good in stock form.

A Borla ATAK sounded better and was only 1,500 on the E92. That's just my opinion of course, but everyone that heard it on my car loved it.

If you consider $7500 "pushing 10k" then I guess so. However I don't consider $7500 anyplace close to $10k.
[QUOTE=Nkr15;28063982] Considering it's NOT $10,000, and actually $7500 you're only $1500 away from happiness! |

If the full system is 9511.00, then that's pretty much 10K to me. I'll slap an overpriced X pipe on mine before I pay $9511.00 (10K) for an exhaust. My experience with a full akrapovic system on my 992 911 sucked. All it did was make my cold start extremely obnoxious. Probably loudest setup I had ever heard cold start. Yet it wasn't much louder over all. It just made my car have super obnoxious cold start. No thank you. So maybe I am bias. But I will not be giving Akrapovic my business and especially not at 9511.00 (10K).

am i right that those M performance exhaust made by Akrapovic too?
I think MP ones look better and priced reasonable. Akrapovic system does not sound better anymore like it used to be with NA engines i don't see it worth that much though. |

I'm liking the sound of the Remus over the Akra so far…

The great thing here is nobody cares what exhaust any of us put on our cars. If you don't like the product; or don't like the price, then don't buy it! Nobody's life will change one bit. I'm sure you'll find something you like the price and performance of. In unrelated news- Today Gucci is attempting to sell me a pair of sneakers for $870. Designer brands can be really expensive. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy the stuff though. |

Akra G80/82 exhaust reminds me of MPE installed on my F87C . . .
Decibels go up just a bit; more raspy/tinny tone; most pronounced acoustic change occurs with burps and burbles. In fact, this is true of nearly all these exhaust options presented. I personally prefer the rumble and have grown to really dislike the constant burps or burbles. . . I think the stock G80C acoustic arrangement is GREAT, so my interest in the topic at this point is as an enthusiast/observer. IF I were in the market for an exhaust, I would just go the distance and do a muffler delete, such as an AWE Track exhaust offering. I had AWE Track exhaust put on my Macan Turbo and it was amazing. If AWE comes through with G80/82, I suspect their options will be well less than half the Akra and MPE options, and well worth the wait in terms of acoustic enhancement. . . provided you want to retain the deep rumble and like things LOUD. ///AVM |

And if the slip on is only 7500.00 Great. I would not pay that either for a SLIP on. With tax, thats closer to 8K. 8K or 10K for an akrapovic is a joke. At least to me. And nope. No one is forcing me to buy it. But since the cost has been a topic of discussing. I added my opinion of it. And experience with it on my 2020 911 S. So I have some value to add to this conversation. Do you work for them or something? You seem triggered that I find the pricing to be astronomically high. Its either 8K or 10K. It is what it is. I dont like it. You clearly do. Oh well. I'm not mad about it. you shouldn't be either. Lets move on.

The exhaust sounded ok nothing to to excited about. The exhaust and the rear defuser design is funny I prefer the OEM. Then factor in the price I'm good, 8-10k just for an exhaust is ludicrous.

I don't have a dog in this fight specifically. Actually I think the slip-on setup in this video sounds kind of meh. That being said, I don't think $7500 to $9500 for the best exhaust system available for a $75,000 to $95,000 M3/M4 is out of line at all. Actually, I think it's spot on. Obviously, the market agrees with me because I don't think Akrapovic is having any difficulty moving their products. |

You might not have been the first to mention its 10K. But you did in fact say it was 9511. With or without tax 99.9% of the world would see that as 10K. The bottom line is... most of us think that is WAY to much for what you are getting. Slip on or full. Either way we dont like it. You on the other hand seem to think its the best sounding exhaust ever. AND! That any exhaust priced within 10% of any vehicles cost is "in line" with what a good exhaust should cost? That just silly thinking to me. But you are totally welcome to like what you like. I dont care. I want everyone to have what they like. But you did in fact suggest it was 10K too. So you like it. You feel it's the best sounding one and that the price is totally warranted. So be it buddy. I want you to be happy. Im not mad at you. Like what you want. 100%. Lets move on already. Please.
