50th Anniversary Badges

Dealer just notified me that my individual order from Dec is finally going into production in June. I inquired about the 50th Anniversary Badges and they told me that in Canada it's a $300 option. Anyone else have any info on this?

Not according to your ordering site. Make sure you make changes to your order before 150 status.

In general, the 50th Anniversary Classic M emblems became available after March 2022 on ///M cars and ///M Performance car. They were added by default, unless you declined. Not sure if that means orders placed after March 2022 or production starting after March 2022.

Check with your BMW dealer...based on your build sheet. Either way, if your baby arrives without them, the dealer will make it right, since they should have a bucket load of these 50th Anniversary Emblems which are in high demand.

You can go on the BMW Configurator and see if they they look good with your exteriors paint and wheel finish. You might have to mix and match. There are also floating wheel center cap options to retrofit.

Not all countries are the same. In Canada, you have to select it for the build, yourself. The US cars, you have to check the box to remove them, because they are standard. If you haven't entered into 150 status, you should be able to modify your order. Read post #2, above, in Canada you have to select it, yourself.

My car was build on week 11 ( march 14) and I don't have them

Same here. Looks like you had to request them in Canada vs. being standard in the U.S. for March production anyway (in spite of mine being an individual color).

Rush111 - Check out the Rush Moving Pictures 40th Anniversary Super Deluxe Album for $300 -- weigh 20 lbs with drumsticks, books, Vinyl, and a Red Barchetta. Ridiculousness.

You can always add the 50th Anniversary Roundels or your dealer can swap them out. Available to order the parts in June 2022.

Thank you! I will try to get my dealer to throw them in. I told them i wanted to go over the build sheet before it was locked down and they kind of forgot about me

Does anyone know if the front and rear roundels on the g80 m3 includes adhesive on the back or is it just like most models where it just pops off the grommets?

Would you post the P/N photo on the box? You can see that the rear roundel has a hole at the bottom for a rear sensor. Most folks won't want to order that version.

I actually got a decent price for them and they arrived in less than 10 days from order to received.

There is adhesive on the back. Double the amount on back versus front. Used fishline thread to get underneath the emblem to separate the glue.

Once it separated, used trim tool to pop them right off.

Cleaned off residue and pushed new ones on.

Well done. Looks fantastic.

For others...
- Pick up a replacement set of grommets for older cars.
- Many BMW Roundels use an adhesive now, so the removal might require a heat gun/blow dryer. $%#%^$# BMW
- The front hood emblem P/N should be universal (82mm).
- The rear trunk emblem P/N will change depending on model and options (74mm). Some SAV rears are the same size as the hood roundel.
- The wheel center caps are different sizes for different models.
- The wheel center caps should come in a non-floating standard and floating versions. If you have to spend extra money, might as well go floating center caps.

Hopefully, they will hit the US market after next week in June, after the Memorial Day Holiday weekend.

The BMW 50th Anniversary Classic M wheel center caps are probably only available for G8x M3/M4 wheels and other similar models with a single p/n for the non-floating set.

There are different p/n's for older F/E model BMWs. A separate set of p/ns for floating center caps for different wheel hub diameters.
