I'd trade in my current generation M4 for this.
Size wise I don't want to go as big as an E class or 5 series. This would be perfect. Oh and manual too please! #BMWNA This an our i3S - not much more needed. Oh, another rant, too bad the i3 is going away...

That F81 should have been built by BMW. Absolutely beautiful and it makes me want to go start swapping parts on my F31. Wonder if I can find $75K for the parts in my couch cushions.

I have money in hand and waiting. My preference would be xDrive with 6 speed MT, that would make it unique.

We only have a deposit down for now, final config will be somewhere in the summer of 2021. I am not sure how the options and package compare between the US and Canada, but this how we plan on building ours:
Otherwise, it comes pretty loaded as standard. Only skipping the driver's assistance and CCB.

Yes, this will be my wife's car. I need something more track focused to support my addiction . We actually prefer the silver trim, contrasts nicely with the Daytona Grey. The blacked out or even the CF trim looks fantastic on a silver car though. But since my next car will be silver again, my wife wants something different.

Signed and hoping Used to have an E46 wagon and although it wasn't powerful, it was fun to drive and I loved it. My one negative to it, okay two, was that it wasn't in stick and I wish it had a bit more power. This new G81 will provide both!

Beautiful E46! G81 won't provide both of those things you mentioned though unfortunately. It's been confirmed by internal sources that it will be AWD and 8AT only (no 6MT).

If they sell the G81 M3 in the US, it will be the first new BMW car I will have ever purchased, after a plethora of used ones.

Interestingly, on the Cadillac forums the polling is similar, 9/10 prefer the wagon to the sedan when given the option. They also are begging for manual with AWD.
One of these manufacturers are going to realize there is a market in the US. Times change, markets change, as big as these cars are now, why not make better use of the cargo space and added usability? |

^this. And to echo Fritzer, I would buy a G81 new after going CPO for a handful of bmws.
I also don’t understand why a RS4 avant doesn’t get more buzz. Cleaner path to homologation with A4 allroad already here and they should have a good pulse on sport wagon demand with the RS6. Would prefer a G81 in manual but would gladly take a B10 RS4 Avant if that’s the alternative. Sadly, we likely won’t see either. |
