Directional Weave for Carbon M3 CS-style Grill?

Looking at a nose job for the M3 and have gotten a little OCD as I've noticed that the Vorsteiner-style grill appears to have directionally symmetrical carbon weave that matches the left/right direction of the brake inlets. For example:

Yet all the CSL-style Grills I'm seeing are one piece and directional the whole way across..
(I'm sort of partial to this motorsport style with the open bottom)

  • So does anyone make a CSL style in left/right directional weave?
  • Also wondering where all the tabs and connections are on the Vorsteiner Grill?

Has me worried that it might not be a stock for stock style DIY home replacement like I'm seeing on YouTube.

Carbon Fiber Art from Russia has a CSL style grille that has the split weave direction. No idea about quality or anything, i just know that it exists. https://cfa-carbon.world/m3g80shop/t...tor-grille-csl

Good find!
I notice some photos do have a badge-blank, others do not (some of the pictures had uni-directional weave too)....also noticed they had optional forged carbon...not sure if I'd like that

Getting closer though, thanks for a lead!

someone on here that has a similar OCD to you ordered one from them and confirmed the details about the weave, if you search you can probably find it. I'm not sure if he's received it yet. i think maybe it was MartinS

to put this in perspective though , the OEM carbon roof isn't even the same weave pattern as the rest of the carbon on the car, the direction of this or that doesn't seem like such a big deal

Very nice, please let me know how the install goes. My M3 does not have ACC, so hopefully their non-ACC is similarly woven?

Yes they have both versions.
They forgot to drill the hole for front camera but it’s no big problem, I can easy do it myself.

It’s got the badge for M3/4 Competition.

That could be the ACC variant of this one:
AutoTecknic G8X M3 / M4 Dry Carbon Podium V1 Front Grille
SKU: ATK-BM-0415-DCG

Honestly I don't get the difference between the separated and joined kidneys. Seems like (with the exception of the one mentioned above) most of the directional carbon grills have separated kidneys, makes me wonder how different the install process is and if there are any install differences in fit and finish....
