I wouldn't say he looked like a hobo, but I admit being surprised to see his sleeves undone/without cuff links. I'm cool with it, but considering the event, the open shirt and undone cuffs surprised me. Super-nice suit though.

I am sure he thinks he is a fashion statement just like he thinks his car designs are great.

I say give it time. People don't like change but pretty well every car forum I've been on the owners of current models always hate the looks of the incoming new models only to trade up in a couple of years after the styling grows on them. This front end will be polarizing but I'm willing to bet it will look better in person and does look somewhat menacing. People that like the styling will be rewarded with by far the fastest ever M3/M4 with AWD and the S58 engine. I'm still on the fence as I want to see the official release and in person before jumping off a cliff with the masses that overreact to everything these days. BTW that pick looks weird like the grilles are all missing from the front end.

Give it time? Yes... Time will tell... Time will show these designers who want to reinvent something that didn't need reinventing will cost the company big time! Ascetics are a huge thing! Let alone on a premium brand! Of course, you'll have all the koolaid drinkers buy in, like iPhone addicts who's phone didn't work well believing the company pitch that they weren't holding it right. Here, you'll have people exclaim how it's better for air flow, or is the NEW BMW, out with the old, just give it time, it'll grow on you, lol...
Just no, not really. It's hideous! And sales will ultimately reflect it. |

thank God
i still think the new politically correct team at bmw were out to ruin what their traditional forefathers created(yeah i used the term forefathers snd not forepersns now shoot me) it seemed to me like the situation at the top/design team was akin to the bbc was trying to run the daily mail or in the us cnn was asked to run fox news. |

i think it has the potential to look awesome. at first i didn't realize that the back was clear. so since it is clear it takes on the color of the car's paint as the background. that looks cool. but of course it all depends on how durable the clear plastic is. you don't want it to mar or dull out over time. perhaps if it was made of glass it would stay clear for a long time but i don't know if it would be subject to breaking over the original logo.

I for one liked the change, if it was durable as stated above, if this step back was do to public concern they should have listened earlier and scrapped the new ugly massive grills, that's a much larger BMW traditional mistake than this simple logo change

Fitting look for the new look of BMW's, which has grown on me but needs to continue doing so. I didn't like the 4 series early renders, as well as the 7 series, but now that the 4 is closer to being on the road, and has had time to grow, I can say I like it much more than I originally did.

I’m looking forward to seeing the new car and holding my judgment until I do. I grew up with family members owning M cars and finally reached a point where I can as well, so holding off on an RS5 sportback for the car I always wanted; an M3. I love the look of the i4 in the videos and I’m hopeful this new M3 will look as good, if not better. People don’t like change, but BMW decided they need to and I’m trusting they made the right choice. It’s 2020, it’s time for a change and BMW is the brand to bring everyone else into the future by leading the way.

Is this a surprise to most here, it looks a lot like the i4 concept. My apologies if someone else has posted this response. It looks hideous in the photos but you never know in person. For me I’m so glad I’ve got my 2018 M3CP. I just don’t see the new version doing it for me even if it’s faster and more powerful or handles better. Just my opinion.
