I think we may be able to deduce if it is a component issue if everyone who is stuck in QC posts their build spec. I wonder if it is related to one of the electronic packages such as park assist, HUD, or the driving assistance.

My car doesn't have any of these and it went through QC in a couple of hours.

I am not sure if it’s a part issue. The genius line made it seem like the car was done and just waiting for shipment. There are no items listed as waiting under the VIN and on a previous car that I had ordered, the missing component that delayed shipment is listed.
Others last year reported similar experiences too when it was more of a shipping backlog and it just doesn’t move past the quality check.

I wish that is the case, I prefer it sitting indoors in QC rather than outside at the port exposed to the elements...
Hopefully gets released soon, I want to enjoy it but also save me whatever rate the feds are going to increase in May

My vote goes for: cars finished but in the queue waiting for shipment (for those with no recalls, of course).

That's what my dealer guy told me, that there have been delays in the shipments. But who knows...

There is a category for that: Awaiting Carrier Assignment

It has to be something else for QC.

Only similarities to mine are M3 Base, interior carbon and shadowline laser lights. We are both PCD which could explain it if they are backlogged with shipping to that port or holding PDC orders since there have been threads about them being less flexible and closing the factory tour in April.

My wife wanted me to order it IOMG on Kyalami and I almost did it but then saw a PB M340i and fell in love (plus my previous car was a WRB STI so it brings me joy)...

the interior was the one that took me the longest to decide between Kyalami and Tartufo, love that brown.

Are all the codes applicable for all destination countries? I mean, for an european car, is the status Awaiting Carrier Assignment ever reached? Also, what if the car is finished but not yet dispatched to the transportation lot but it is still at the factory lot? Again, I have no idea, just giving my two cents...

Thanks! I was in between PB and IOMG for a while since I definitely wanted a bolder color. I was tempted with KO interior, but since they stopped matching the door cards unless you did full leather, it made the decision to the the tartufo easier for me. I don't think you can go wrong with either though.
