I ordered the Vorsteiner grill from IND and it took Mr a week to unwrap it. My arms are tired so I haven't had the will power to put it on yet. All jokes aside I currently have the CSL style ABS grill on my car now buy the more I see the Vorsteiner, I wanted it and ordered it with the inserts.
I get more compliments then criticism and to be truthful, I hear it more on this forum. For the individuals who purchased the car but hate it, why buy something you don't like. It's your money to do what you want but I wouldn't spend my money that way.

A lot of the G80 bashing was like that and not just people politely voicing their opinions... it also was right when the G80 came out and current g80 owners/potential owners interested in the car were tired of seeing the same people spam every thread.
Well said.

This guy is a perfect example of why I just don’t come on here much anymore. And this was a good, educational thread too. I don’t care if a random F owner likes my car - this thread isn’t for him. Whether or not he likes the car isn’t relevant.

If BMW makes the next M3 electric, I won’t like it. But I won’t go on their section to let them know, I’ll just avoid it.

Yes, I ordered it straight from Dongasi off of Instagram. It fit perfect and I have no complaints but I really like the GT style grill better from Vorsteiner and want some protection for radiator. Plus I'm tired of getting crap out of the opening.

Got it, thanks, so I guess there is no spot for the badge on this grill, or does yours just not have it on?

It came with a add on piece but I didn't put it on. At the time, I wanted a clean look.

Interesting.
Saw this too. What I would have done were I him, was to paint lower half of grille surrounds (currently blue) into black. I dont know would that look good or not, but I think it would complete the look he was after. But would those little nostrils on top look good like then, I dont know.

The very first thing I said, when I saw the spy shots in a garage, of the front end, were “oh, they’re not doing that, are they?” But, I never disliked the grille. Some people have gone to great lengths to clown the grill with every picture they see.

Anytime a G8X is on the front page, you still see comments about the grill. People wish they had F80 style options for the front bumper, and to me, when you park a G8X next to an F8X it instantly dates the F8X.

I looked at many options for grilles, and I didn’t change mine because I don’t like the Oem grille, I changed mine because I liked the options that are now available. Personally, I went with Project Gamma. I don’t like any of the grilles that went to the 90° squared off center section. It’s too boxy for me. Mine, I like.

From an educational post, to more a back and forth pissing match on why or why not, SMH.

But big thanks to IND for the great write up.

Thanks. Wow, I can barely see them. Are they all they way back there against the radiator? Is the whole radiator covered?

Such a shit show of a thread

It’s nice that iND listens to their customers and went through the trouble to create some options so that people can have unique looks or improve the look if they weren’t thrilled with the way it came from the factory or just want to improve the overall look in general

Nicely executed iND !!

Two. I can think of two companies that make an aftermarket bumper that actually changes the shape and size of the grill, Adro and Vorsteiner, and they both look like ass.
I agree with you. Pretty sure you mis understood my post. Read it again.

The color combo / style grille that looks the best is the one that manages to shrink the damn thing down a bit, of course.

Cool write up

I think body color on the mid section bar is a must. Somethings got to break up the double ugly nostrils.

Yeah, that is tough, thanks for sharing though, I appreciate it. I think I was expecting to see more of a mesh, but it looks like it's that black plastic grid back there?

My opinion doesn’t matter. However I feel the need to say the front end is still piggy even with some of these grille options. The grilles listed by the OP are stunning and the g8x is still ugly. Do better next time BMW!
