Guys, I have a set unopened box from AliExpress Icedriver DRL daytime running lights Lemon Yellow

Aren't they identical? I suspect the VD guy was buying them from ice driver. The PCB's had the same numbers on them in the pics I saw between the two.

I like how they have the pre-applied thermal adhesive. Takes any guess work out of it. Lol.

For the guys that have done this, is this possible to do without removing the wheel? Can we just turn them to either side to get clearance to access fender liner screws?

I just did mine a few days ago. Theoretically, you could get away with not removing the wheels, but know that one of the screws holding each of the lower heat sinks/led boards is behind a piece of metal, and you'll have very little clearance to find that sob and turn it. With the wheel still in the way, you'll have 80% less space to work behind the headlight, and you may need double jointed baby arms to make it work. With IND's pre-applied adhesive, the project will take less time, but if I had to do this project 10 more times, I'd remove the wheels and wheel liners every time.

Hawaiiracer1 isn't here to defend himself, but nobody was doing these DRLs, when he figured out how it all worked. As soon as he started putting out pictures and videos of how its done, it was copied immediately, and he's been contacted by numerous companies to carry his product.

Now, the people that wanted to do it cheaper, and don't want to go through him, are copying it. And there aren't many people testing their products. You're taking it into your own hands, trusting someone in another country, that could care less about your car. Most of the time, not even having a car to even test and research the LEDs. Copying them from pictures. Driving a $90k car worried about saving $100, not even sure if you're sacrificing a pair of $8,000 headlights. Id rather have someone I know, testing them.

Thanks for that. I want to do this but have no access to a floor jack to remove the wheels.

I bought mine to jack my C7 a few years ago, its been really good. But that was when they were like $70. This new America we live in, the same jack, is now $130.

I also bought a Yellow Set from 2vinyldesigns and mounted the Boards today . Very easy Process and they already came with thermal glue.
I bought a Set used housings from a damaged car . That way i do Not have to modify my oem Modules .
For me this was very important because i think i will be one of the First owners with this mod in Germany and over here this isnt really Street legal . That way i can easily swap them in minutes .
Will install them on monday so the glue can dry Perfect . I m Excited how this will look ok my skyscraper Beauty 😎

I got them from Vinyldesigns2 as well
It looks intimidating but I got it done in 90 min taking my time
And when I had a questing about the app I got a response in less than 5 min

Looks really cool with the purple…but I could see that as being a cop magnet if driving around with it.

I ended up swapping to just the CSL yellow style of boards…but still have yet to get a chance to actually install.

Lol i agree. I really want to do red bc i have stealth black with red interior. But i would get pulled over 100% of the time. Still would be cool to keep it white/yellow on street then red for shows and what not

I'm personally not much on going to shows or doing the cars and coffee thing but it would definitely be a cool use of it if you go the them often.

It's also great for the photos/videos on Instagram, etc. Lol.

Im not interested (yet) in adding these to my G80X but I just did this to my F92 M8 (wheels) so are these interchangeable?

I think the yellow would look great against the white!!
