You can see where the sensor was pushing into the bumper foam in the red circles

Exact same thing happened to mines broke at the same spot.

I am done changing grills and sticking to OEM. Had fitment issues with the Autotecknic grill and now this one.

Just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for someone else.
What happened on the autotechnic grill? You’d think with all the ads and posts all these grills are flawless. Aftermarket game is rough sometimes.

The PG GT3 grill looks different from the rest of the Vorsteiner style that has the square center beam.

Yeah, the PG one is a weird one, has a pointy protruding grill. I need to see more photos to judge it more though. Good luck!

If anyone has issues with the grills rubbing against the bumper foam, just shave some of the foam down. I did this with my Stradale Design grills and it worked well. As mentioned above, every car and bumper is going to be different, but I noticed on mine, the foam was applying a bit too much pressure to my liking.

Got this from Vorsteiner this morning:

Trimming would be the best option, I wouldn't recommend removing the support completely. We'll be installing a set this week and follow up with our experience.

LOL no instructions were included, installers were supposed to know it need to be trimmed? Or do they now know because I sent them an email with pics and an explanation of the issue this morning?

not blasting EAS as it is not their fault.

And I am not removing or trimming part of the bumper foam, that should have been disclosed by Vorsteiner

Outside of BMW and AC Schnitzer, I haven't seen any companies include instructions with aero parts. Most companies will usually assume their installer will have experience in installation.

So installers have to figure out exactly where something is not clearing(which is hard to do) and figure out where to trim parts on the car? I have installed two other grills and NONE had clearance issues. Clearly they did not test fit these or else they would have stated that trimming is needed.

Installers almost never get instructions, it's implied that should know what they are doing. I do agree if there was trimming needed, it should be disclosed beforehand. However, don't shoot the messenger.

We have an install scheduled later this week and will follow up with our experience afterwards.

Like I said, not your guys fault. I guess what I meant to say was if trimming is required, there should be instructions for that or people would be blindly chipping away at something that is a part of the car(which I bet most people don't want to do). Removing the grill is straightforward so there is no need for those instructions.

Glad to hear! Hope they revise, but I think it will be too $$ for them to do.

I held off on ordering for now.

Hey Tom the one you sent out should get to me Wednesday. I will be trimming the foam bumper support cover to allow fitment. Once you install yours do you mind posting pictures of how much foam you removed?

Thanks
