From what I've read, yes. Those running "bootmod" have had their ECUs unlocked.

BM3 and MHD (and other Flash Solutions) -> Unlock needed
JB4 and RaceChip (and other Piggy Back Solutions) -> Unlock NOT needed

*I am already considering to go with Unlock and MHD .... my decision will depend on, how the dyno sheet looks like after DP + Exhaust.

Nice times especially for an OTS tune and no ethanol, it also shows the aero advantages of the G80.

My X3M is running a custom E70 tune and manages a 10.5 at 130mph, however I can only manage a 6.57 in the 100-200 kph.

M3CX with MST intakes and map 2 on 93. Pretty crappy DA, and terribly prepped surface. Still spun off the line and 1-2 shift.
