What does this mean for orders with production numbers? are they going to be deleted too? Assuming this just means order bank orders with no production number will get deleted.

Have the allocations for June released yet?

Been first on the list for an M3 since March and dealer hasn't gotten a single allocation. There is another dealer I'm also first on the list and being told I won't be see any allocations for a while.

order bank orders do not have production numbers, they will be deleted.

105 orders (no production week) have production numbers, they will be converted to MY23.

Do they go out to all Dealers on the same day or can it be staggered? I'm surprised I haven't received a call yet from my dealer. They are a high volume dealer too.

How does the conversion happen? I have a MY22 production number that has been in 105 since April (I was originally a week 5 build). My CA said I would be getting a new production number and I have submitted a new order for a MY23.

It didn't make sense to me that BMW would just drop that production number and not roll it over so that I am still attached to it and have an order with them. Doesn't make sense to essentially start over unless my CA is leaving out some information.

I'm not 100% sure on how that will work. I assume they'll be the same production number and flipped to 2023 when it comes time

Its fine if they aren't sure how this will work yet, but its beyond frustrating that some people are getting new allocation/orders and production numbers for MY23 before BMW has figured out what's going to happen with all these people with left over MY22 production numbers...

I have reached out to BMW Corporate looking for a commitment they won't put newer MY23 orders ahead of those placed previously that now going to be converted to MY23 builds. They acknowledged the legitimacy of the request, and indicated they will come back with a more fulsome response. Still waiting but I'm confident I'll get a response. Yuuuuup. Seeing new posts about 23 orders and scheduled dates in July is grinding my gears.

Hope they are low because they are holding ones for the people flipped from MY22 to MY23.

Here's a response from my dealer, I honestly don't know what else to say:

Have no fear you will not lose your place in line. Since your car has had a production # prior to 5/30 BMW will automatically flip it to a 2023. Once that happens we can make any necessary modifications (if any).

My CA informed me they are waiting for their rep to notify them when they're able to make the switch. He said not to expect anything until end of this month / beginning of July, as it's still possible for them to squeeze any 22s, hence why they aren't really doing much now.

I share the same frustrations with you all as well re. new allocations getting production dates for MY23, hopping over us MY22s who've been even more patiently waiting. FWIW, here's the last email sent from my dealer's sales manager, in relevant part -

"I was waiting for production to get back to me because I noticed [your build] was in the same status for a few weeks now. They have confirmed that production for Model Year 2022 is now officially at its full capacity. With that being said, your order will be a model year 2023 with expected production date at some point in July. As we hear more info, we will keep you in the loop. Great news- there is no change regarding your spot in line, you will be the first order to be filled for the 2023 allocation slot. Your vehicle will literally be the one of the first 2023's coming to IL."

IDK. I reached out a couple of days ago asking if we needed to take any preemptive or affirmative steps to avoid getting lost in the pile, so to speak. No response as of yet.

All and good, but are you willing to pay the additional mark up for a MY2023....

Had a production number for a 2022 M3 Comp showing 112 status since November. Last two months it reverted back to "order received". Yesterday I received a totally new production number for a MY23 M3 Comp with a production for first week of July. Hope this gives some people hope.

Totally new production number? Was it just updated in your BMW Garage automatically or did your CA communicate the change to you and you have to add the new # to your garage?

This may not be the correct thread to post this and I apologize if that’s the case, but I have a Jahre edition allocation (build has been submitted) that I am willing to trade for a standard allocation. I just want the orange seats and those were not an option with the Jahre.

Since I've been waiting for a 2022 Comp with a production number, I was next in line for the next allocation. I deleted my old production number and was given the new allocation, being my order was next, with the new production number. Hope that makes sense.

Before I deleted my old production number, BMW My Garage was still showing "order received" for 2022.
