Just went to swap tyres on my G80 and realised the guy who fitted them last time crossed the threads on one of the lugs.

He’s made a real mess of it, what are my options?

Can I rethread it if I need a replacement part, is it a hub and bearing assembly needed?

how bad is it ? you can run an M14x1.25 thread chaser through it and see if that cleans it up, but if they cross-threaded it the whole way down then it's pretty questionable from a safety perspective to try to fix it that way.

Yeah. It’s completely gone. The lug I took out was flat.

I think I need to replace the “part they screw into”. Any advice on what that is would be helpful.
