Man. One thing I wish the G8X MPerf exhaust had was changeable tips to CF!

Not sure if the LCI MPE (other than the M2) now offers this upgrade.

I’m interested in these. Is there any cutting required on the exhaust to install? I thought I remembered reading somewhere that BMW recommends this?

They do require cutting...about 45MM on the topside and about 13MM on the bottom. That's why I've been trying to find someone to install. See https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1834800 for more info.

You're welcome. Trust me, I want them. I had them on my G80 (port installed - I assume like the car they came off of), and they look great. The iterations for the F8X cars were bolt-ons. Had those on my F87 and wish these were the same. Dealer hasn't responded to me even on quote. Will ping him again.

BMW instructions state to cut. Technically they don't REQUIRE it, they will still fit, but they will protrude about an inch more than intended.

Right. And the top part also sits around the top pin, aligning the whole positioning of the tips.

Dealer quoted me $840 (I think 3 hours) for install. Giving it some thought, but I'm probably out at that.

$840!? I got these cf tips installed and cut by a local muffler shop. Cost $200 for everything. Love the OEM+ look.

Looks good. Don't look like they were cut though. They're not supposed to stick past the diffuser. Below is what they looked like with port install on my G80.

They're cut. They just probably wanted them installed a little more protruding than the instructions say. When the shop installed mine without cutting it protruded out way more than that.

I also went with a slightly more protruding look and highly recommend it.



$840 is insane though, this is a 1 hour job, 1 1/2 at most.
