The dock she’s pulling up to is far from the BMW VDC. Does anyone know if she’s unloading BMWs at the current dock or if she will unload other vehicles first and then move around to the docks by the VDC?

Not sure how they transport them to the BMW VPC, but that’s the only dock they use. And yes they did unload at 3am on a holiday, my car!! Woot woot stateside!! Now the fun part; pestering the geniuses on when it’ll clear VPC and when will it be assigned a truck carrier?!!! When will it get to my dealer?!!

Still shows in transit. I call Genius about an hour ago and the lady said the boat didn't arrive yet. I told her to have a nice day and hung up!

Told me the same thing, at least my genius knew enough to tell me their system hadn’t updated yet. Suggested I call back later today/tomorrow and they’d be able to tell me exactly when my car will be scheduled for transport to my dealership. And no stop sales are on my car!!

I guess it takes a couple of days to unload everything..I don't have any additional parts to install so I guess it should go by more smooth. On the bright side we made it right? Lol

Something doesn't add up. How come they don't use the spot closer to the VPC? For them to drive from where the current location is with 800+ vehicle doesn't seem efficient to me!

I agree. I suspect it will move to the spot closer to the VPC soon and then our cars will be unloaded. I doubt they are driving that many new cars over the Casciano bridge.

I am guessing ~2 weeks before we see cars hitting the dealerships!

Maybe. I’m hoping since my car is staying in Jersey, I may get it after about a week after it is unloaded. 🤞

My third Bimmer and I’m telling you guys that port they’re docked at is it. Not all 800 cars loaded at Bremerhaven and Zeebruge are getting off in NY/NJ. I honestly have no clue how they get from the dock to VPC, but they do. If there aren’t any stop sales on your car it’s three days to process it through VPC and then it has to be scheduled for a car transport to your dealership. This is another choke point, not enough trucks/drivers to transport the cars from VPC to dealerships. Anxious you maybe right, two weeks, but I’m hopeful it’ll be a few days quicker, closer to ten days. We shall see!

Mine is a sorted tale of getting a genius who really didn’t know what the hell she was talking about! I’m calling everyday to keep up with the status of my car. Once it passes through VPC they can tell you when your car is scheduled for transport to your dealer. Yesterdays genius was great, said call back today, that there weren’t any stop sales on my car. Called back today and was told my car was still in transit and that they only update the tracker on Monday's and Friday’s.
I didn’t have the heart to tell her she was wrong, that I was an experienced buyer and knew better, I didn’t even mumble bad words under my breath, I just said goodbye hung up. Check my tracker after reading your post and boom!! At port!! Which means the car has been checked in at VPC and very well may have passed through and someone can tell me when/what car transport it’ll be on. Regardless, I’m making two calls tomorrow until I find someone who can tell me!!
