MAX AC button not working??

We are in the middle of winter so no rush but I noticed recently my "MAX AC" button is not doing anything. AC is selected in the AC menu, and when done in manual mode or auto, it blows cold air no issues. But when I click the button, it doesn't light up and nothing happens. Any idea on what can be going on?

What's the temp outside? MAX AC cannot be activated when it's below 32f/0c.

Yup that's it! Weird, you'd figure it would be easy to go MAX AC in the cold. I guess it's BMW's way of saying wtf are you doing
