I purchased the Ohlins coilover kit for my car and you have to buy the EDC delete kit seperate, which is around $500. I've heard the EDC delete can be coded out. Not sure how though.

Do I need to use bimmercode to delete it?

I just did this last week with Bimmer remote. Not sure if it’s possible in BimmerCode because I believe it’s an ESYS procedure. Did the CS coding and anyidazzle while we’re in there lol. He’s on here as well kubax86

Was this a service you paid for or were you able to do it by yourself?

Yeah I paid around 100 bucks to get it coded out. Had it done remotely. And I think he’s able to code it out for free if it gets wiped by a software update, but don’t quote me on it

What happens if BMW upgraded your software and they wipe out the coding, do you have to pay $100 again?

Edited my post but I think he’s able to do it again for free other than the CS coding, but you need to contact him to make sure

Ok great thanks. I was actually looking for a solution that can be done in house rather than having someone remote in and do it. But this may work temporarily.

Haha yeah I’d much rather to do it in BimmerCode myself but after some research that might be out of my league lol

Please let us know how do you feel about the Ohlins coilover. Ive been thinking about purchasing them this whole week..

I went back and forth between KW v3 and Ohlins. Finally landed on the Ohlins due to the positive reviews. They do come out a bit more expensive than KWs since you have to buy the EDC delete kit separate.

I ordered the xdrive kit. That won't be available till October.

There is no doubt Ohlins R&T is better than KW V3
According to official mail from KW, V3 should not even be used on track.

Regarding xdrive R&T, I have heard from my local distributor that 2 pieces are in stock in Sweden, not sure if that applies to US..

I don't think it does. Some vendors claim they have the Ohlins xdrive version in stock but they are just the RWD. I called Ohlins USA and they even mentioned release date is in Oct.

That is correct. It arrives mid October. That’s when mine is arriving
