Build Week 06 - MY23
Don't see a thread for Week 6 in 2023, so starting this one as I have been told (by Genius) I am week 6 (the week of Feb 6th). With the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if my week moves, but I'll jinx myself by starting the thread anyways!
Timeline: Been on the wait list since 6/22 Found an allocation via Broker out of state on 12/9/22 Currently in 111 Status My Build: M3 Competition Xdrive Brooklyn Grey Fiona Red Full Leather Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Carbon Fiber Exterior Trim Executive Package Parking assistance Package Drivers Assistance Package Laser headlights M Carbon Bucket Seats M Driver Professional M Double-spoke black wheels Drive recorder Red brakes Carbon roof I am still trying to get the M Performance HAS kit installed at port (Option Code: Z58) Anyways, whether I move to a different week or not, good luck to you all for the folks who have this build week! |

Thanks for starting the thread. Just talked to the 'genius' who told me that I am also currently slotted for BW6. Was fortunate to have a good relationship with a NJ dealer and got an allocation almost immediately earlier in December - order was placed 12/17 and rapidly advanced to 112 status.
Tanz Blue M4 6mt with full silverstone. Will be replacing my '18 M4 comp 6mt in Azurite black. Excited to see how this plays out regarding timing --- purchased a new set of winter rubber for my F82, so a spring delivery wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for me.

In regards to delivery, I am seeing some people getting their vehicles pretty quickly (~6 weeks or so) and some not so fast (~12 weeks) depending on where they are located in the US. My vehicle will be headed to the Brunswick GA port; if we get on a ship within 2 weeks after production, might be able to pick up the car by the end of March or beginning of April. But who knows... |

curious if the M4s built around this time will flip over to ID8 - saw rumblings of it happening in March. Not sure I have a preference, but will be interesting to watch for.

Well, looks like I'm officially a member of the week 6 club! I got extremely lucky and found an allocation for an M3Cx that was actually going to a CA, but she changed her mind and went with another car. Just got a production number and have added it to My Garage! It's MSRP and the dealership's only stipulation was that I do in house financing, which is fine.
Timeline: On a waitlist at another dealer since 11/27. Found an allocation via another forum member on 1/3. 112 Status Build: M3 Competition xDrive Isle of Man Green Black Extended Marino Leather Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Executive Package Icon Adaptive LED headlights with Laserlight M Shadowline Lights Front Ventilated Seats Style 826 M Double-spoke Black Wheels Blue Calipers Carbon Roof And now we wait....

Just called Genius and I'm another Build Week 6 Owner.
I placed an order with a dealer in late November, I learned about the allocation numbers on this forum and called. I found out I was third in line. So I called around and found a dealer that said I would be first in line and he guaranteed a February build. So I placed another deposit and ordered another car first week in December. I canceled the first order. It's a good thing I switched dealers because the guy Josh at Roseville BMW knew a lot more about the order options. I ended up adding some M Performance parts. My Order: M4 Competition Toronto Red Fiona Red Full Leather M Seats Carbon Package In & Out Executive Package Laser lights with Shadowline Trim Carbon Ceramic Brakes Black 826M Wheels M Performance Exhaust M Performance Carbon Side Vents M Performance Carbon Door Sills M Performance Floor Matts Ordered for Install CSL Grill, Strut Tower Brace, Tail Lights M Performance Adjustable Spring Kit 5mm Spacers Alpha A side splitters. Going to paint Black I know it may seem excessive. But I almost bought an Aston Martin and stopped myself. I just can't bring myself to pay over $200K for a car. Especially when I can order a full optioned out M4 for $115K. This car will do everything the Aston would and I don't have to get raped by my insurance company or the State of California every year because I bought a $250K car. Cost of ownership has become a real downer in the car hobby. Sales Tax, Insurance rates and Registration are out of hand. (Rant Over) |

I just called up Genius and I’m a week of Feb 8th production! My CA has yet to provide me with a build sheet, apparently they are pretty busy. Welp, they gave me a allocation at MSRP so can’t complain.
I consider myself pretty lucky, gotten an allocation within two months of putting down my deposit and now the car heading into production 2 months after order is placed. Timeline: Gotten on the waitlist since 11/15/22 Gotten an allocation from the dealer on 12/7/22 Status 112 and production date assigned 1/10/23 My Build: M3 Base RWD Grigio Telesto Pearl Silver stone Full Leather Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Carbon Fiber Exterior Trim Executive Package Parking assistance Package Drivers Assistance Package Laser headlights M Carbon Bucket Seats M Driver Professional 826M Bicolor Wheels Extended Shadowline |

Brooklyn is literally everywhere now...local dealer has like 20 different models in Brooklyn on the lot. I wanted something more unique. Still a beautiful color though. Skyscraper is a great color too but then I saw Dravit in person...my friend's G80 had just been delivered in Dravit and I was blown away how crazy it looks in the sunlight with the gold flake. Changed my order that day! |

My Porsche is Silver and my F150 is Silver. I originally ordered Skyscraper. I went to the dealer to pick up a part for my kids 335i. There was a Toronto Red M3 on the showroom floor and I changed my order the next day. I couldn’t stop thinking about that Red/Black combo. So bright. It has some orange to it in different light. I’m ok with orange too. It just popped over having another grey car. |

Interesting....I ordered the 2023 M3 because it has ID8; I really wanted the M4 but didn't want ID7. I was told M4 wouldn't get ID8 until MY 2024 which was supposed to start production summer of 2023

Normally that would be the case. Typically BMW production cycles kick over to the next production year in July every year. For this M4 LCI the cycle switches in March instead of July. I think the X5’s LCI is in a similar situation this year.
