I'm week 47 also.

I got the news from my CA 10/04/22

I added the car to myGarage 10/11/22

Looks like some of the week 46 guys are moving into 150 so we might be next week.

When are you guys mentally preparing to have your cars?

January - April going to PCD my previous bw31 spent 6 weeks at Europe ports and 4 weeks at nj/ny vpc (stop sale added some time). For this one I'm assuming knowing my luck another 6 weeks at Europe ports so if car is done and at the port by December 1st then mid January to just get on a boat then 2 week ride over and 2 week till ready for pickup so realistically mid February but I'll just tell me self April lmao to not get myself too excited like I did going thru the process last time. So again best case January mid delivery and worst case beginning of April.

Between Feb and March of next year. With the holidays in Dec, we are losing 2-3 weeks easily.

I’ve heard this concern a few times regarding holidays and genuinely interested to understand potential impact to timelines. For instance, week 47 means that these cars will be fully built no later than 11/27. Is the concern that holidays (I assume Christmas?) will delay the shipping process? Will the ports shut down during holidays?

Yup. Probably reasonable to assume with Christmas holidays transporting/shipping will slow down a bit. Doubt the port will shut down during the holidays but most likely reduced staffing, therefore, the throughput of cars they can process will not be a full capacity. Hopefully I am wrong and we all get our cars in Jan/Feb.

Hahah part of me wants the car immediately in Jan/Feb since I've been waiting since March 2022 and don't have a car atm since last was totaled cuz black ice. But also part of me dosent mind another 1-2 month wait for a March/April delivery. And now wait hear me out… I didn't think I would ever say that lol… but taking delivery of this car on summer tires in January and I live in Mass will be annoying to either a) wait and stare it in the garage and not drive it much) or b) drop another immediate $4000+ for winter wheel/tire setup. To be honest would rather wait a month or so so I can drive up from PCD in 1 piece lmao 😂

My exact thought process in NJ. I wouldn't mind being delayed to late Feb/early March other than the fact of my interest rate lock expiring in mid Feb

When can we expect for it to change to production begins. Don't want any more delays. Thoughts?

Here's a little summary:

Been in and out of around 3-4 deals tryna get this car at best price / best time.

Most recent and final plan is as such:

Ordered Through bmw arrowhead in Arizona
Taking delivery with PCD in South Carolina
Driving car back up to Massachusetts where I live

Hi all, seems I've been moved up a week?!?

Dealer and Genius told me all along that I was week 47 for my G82. I got that date again the last time I called in early last week. Genius said target was Nov 24.

Moved to 112 on My Garage on 10/28. But I am now showing status 150 with a VIN assigned and a Prod Date of 11/17/22 using the Chrome tool. Isn't that week 46?

Anyone else out there been moved ahead? I can't imagine I am the only one...

I wrote a chrome extension that outputs that information. If people are interested I could package it up and put it on the chrome store or provide the files.

Very cool I'd be interested! No more digging through the inspection tool.

Have some meetings this morning. Can post a thread with instructions on how to manually install the add-on when I'm free early afternoon.

I submit the add-on for the chrome store but it can apparently take up to 10 days for them to approve it.
