Ahh alright, I don't think anyone with carbon buckets have gone into production yet. I was week 31 originally and the buckets got me pushed to week 37.

Damn that's unfortunate, that's worse then waiting in 112 status. I think week 37 is the week of 9/12. So hopefully all of our cars start moving soon.

My prod date (from Google Chrome tools) was originally 9/9, but I just checked today and now it's 9/12.

Maybe that is the magic day for us?

I called the bmw genius and they told me the status would not change until the whole production was finished. We probably just need to wait until 9/12 to see how the status is.

I don't think the Genius gave you accurate info.

I also have an M3 on order which completed production this week, and I was able to see each step. Exterior Body, Paint Booth, Assembly Line, etc...

My M4 is still sitting at 150 too.

Hopefully we'll see some progress next week.

I tried the google chrome tool and there is no production date there for me…. I called the genius they told me week 37 9/12 date and that was confirmed by my SA. Does the production date not show in chrome until status 150?

Yeah I was tracking week 37 == 9-12 start date, so I was surprised to see it listed as entered production already, but figured maybe they were able to get a head start for some reason. If not though, maybe that's why the rest of you haven't seen any movement for a week or two either - it's more like "we've acknowledged you're next in our system but ain't shit happening yet".

That's correct, it'll only show something in prod date once you hit 150.

I agree, it's what sold me on the interior. I drove a g80 with them last year and they were awesome, very comfortable but I personally like a seat that hugs and keeps me planted. I don't really understand why everyone complains about getting in and out of the seat etc. I'm 6 ft 230 and had zero issues.

Build week and production date which you are tracking is production completion. It's normal for the build to enter 150 status a week or two before that date

If that's the case, my Week 37 build should move to 150 next week sometime....

Fingers crossed!

I have very little difficulty staying in my seat in my G22 under spirited driving on the street. I didn't have much, if any, issue staying in my seat while on the track either. So, seeing as the G82 "normal" seats already are taller / steeper / more "wrapped" around you than the G22 seats, I didn't see the buckets as being necessary unless you're tracking the car constantly or have another unique use case like adaptiive_m does (wheelchair fits perfectly behind the buckets and it's both easier for him to get in / out but holds him in place better).

Yeah I get it everyone has a different preference, that's why they offer two types of seats.

Had it on my last g80 and loved every day in them. Did 3+ hour road-trips in them with no problem

So looks like it was dispatched from factory today, so Genius was spot on with their 9/6 date of completing production!

Lets see how long it sits on the port now, i've been hearing horror stories..
