Why was it offline? I'm build week 36 and have been stuck at 150 for over two weeks. I guess the shutdown is why.

You'd think a manufacturing plant this big would have shifts or some type of system so that people could take a summer vacation but the plant remain open. I'm sure there are a lot more logistics behind it but in simple terms I feel like there could be a way for them to be open 24/7. My SA told me today on the system he uses it's saying my car will be done by 8/31. However according to the bmw genius I'm still scheduled for week 37 which isn't until the second week of September. My bmw app still shows status 112.. idk what information is correct these days, I guess I'll just believe I'm getting the car when it comes in one day. Going on 10 months of waiting time since I put my deposit.

If you're still at 112 I'm not sure how your SA gave you a date. I believe only a week is available at 112. And from what I've seen the weeks change often when you go from 112 to 150.

Summer breaks are common in Europe. France basically takes all of August off.

On the flip side, maybe they will have a pile of parts waiting along with a factory full of well-rested workers so our cars can breeze through production and transit without any recall or stop sale issues.

We can all dream, right?

I'm working in the production for another car manufacturer. Usually in the Summer-break they modify the production lines to update them for new models or improved production quality / speed.
Changing Robots and so on.

Sometimes you have problems after the summer-break and the Output-Speed of new Cars for some days / weeks is slowed down because they need to adjust to all the new stuff.
You sometimes have programming-errors and so on...

I'm build week 38 but I guess it depends on how well they started again after the summerbreak. There can be delays of 1-2+ Weeks.

IIRC, BMW does this in July during the model year switchover.

I feel bad for you guys...I wasn't even planning on ordering yet and was happy to wait till March, I just wanted the last of the ID7 screens, and my sales guy hit me up and went "hey I had someone back out of an allocation...want it? Send me a build code, no biggie if you don't take it I'm sure I'll be able to sell it anyway if you don't....but if you want it, it'll be yours."

No deposit or anything, just sent him the code and he sent me the allocation sheet with week 37 on it. That was a couple days ago when I posted in this thread for the first time and you guys are saying 2nd week of September already? Fack! I gotta sell some stocks lol.

Positive thinking maybe your car will start early next week. I think if it started Monday or Tuesday it could still be done and considered week 36. I don't know though, just a guess from what I've seen in other forums.

Week 37 = September 12th start date.

So week 36 would = September 5th start date, ie next week.

Due to delays though who knows when it might actually start.

My W37 M4 is still sitting at 150 (no change since 8/5).

Chrome tools still shows the same prod date of 9/9.

Been in 112 since 8/11, seemingly right before the European shutdown. No word from my CA about a flip to 150. No word about a change in production week either. Crossing my fingers for an update tomorrow

Awesome to see some movement for week 37. Did your builds have the carbon buckets?
