They aren't going to change the grille. Dukec thinks it's the greatest thing ever. Where did you hear this rumor?

Also they aren't going to change it drastically for the LCI. Also, they aren't going to make it smaller for next gen. The big grill is here to stay.

For this generation for sure as there's not a lot they can do for the LCI outside of slightly massage the grilles and tweaking the vents. Going forward it depends on the general automotive trend. The current trend of big mouth grilles has probably hit it's peak as there are vehicles out there with front ends that are almost all grille and there's not much further you can take that.

Yeah. They did a bunch on bmwm's Instagram stories. Spent a lot of them showing the cooling and grille insides. Can't believe people actually think they'll change them. The cars going to sell amazingly, time to move on if you don't like them.

If BMW had simply maintained the power dome and kept the grille similar to the G20

Yes, BMW could change the hood, bumper, etc. And yes, there is precedent.
BMW dramatically improved the looks of the E90 with the LCI. These changes included a new hood, headlights, bumper, trunk, etc. Those who can't stand the looks of this car can at least keep their fingers crossed that BMW could take a similar approach.

BMW is doubling down on the new grill with other models. 4-series, iX, i4. I think it's here to stay. I wouldn't bet on an LCI change.
