I remember a distinct moment when I asked myself, "What is the hype all about?" I had a '14 AW F30 6MT for awhile. Prior to that I owned a '11.5 AW ZCP 6MT M3. My ex-gf still had the '11 AW 6MT 135i M-Sport we purchased for her when we were together. She asked me to take care of her car while she went back to Wisconsin to visit her mother. At the time, the steering feel threads were running rampant on the forums. I jumped into her 135i and found the steering cumbersome and far too heavy/poorly weighted for my tastes, especially during low speed maneuvers. I do realize that I had adjusted to the F30, but steering feel was never a point of praise as it pertained to my E9X nor her 135i. |

“Heavy and poorly weighted” so you mean “natural”? |

Haha! I mean, yeah, I get that. I'm in my 40's, so I remember completely unassisted racks too. I'll pass on that natural feel. Lol! With that said, I don't want an over-boosted rack either.

I feel the new M3 an M4 are going to be beasts, and I advocated and requested M xDrive. But why are these cars increasingly getting bigger and bigger to the 5 Series size, bigger is not always better. And the additional 400 pounds - is that correct, that cannot be all of the xDrives weight distribution. |

As a fellow Designer it's hard to listen to design advice from a guy who has useless fake zippers on his shoulders and goofy glasses on, but anything to fix this hideous front bumper issue. I had to call-out the fake shoulder zippers because they remind me of the M3 & M4 fake side air vents 😤 totally useless.
You have to think of everything when designing! Functionality and Style!!! Or should I say functionality with style, Or style with functionality? He didn't think of U.S. license plates are global license plates. Some States you have to have them on, some States you can take them off. Or if you like me, you do whatever the hell you want. |

I have to admit I used to like Adrian van Hooydonk's design concepts when he worked under Chris Bangle, but now as BMW Group's Design Director I think he is failing unfortunately.
Something has happened within the Design Team or it is the suits ok'ing and choosing lame designs. They're going in too many different directions, not consistent. It's time for BMW start looking for a new Design Director. |

Design direction
Is it BMW Group's Design Director Adrian van Hooydonk's flawed design direction, is it solely his fault? Or is it the suits and bean-counters okaying these poor design decisions??? Or is it all of the above?
Something has happened within BMW's Design Team and their philosophy and most importantly their design direction. Something has to give! |

I dont see what they could change the grille to without changing the hood so I just can't see this happening. Theyre kind of all in on that look as the electric vehicles which don't even need grilles have a similar front end lol
