There hasn’t been any information here on G8x production being slowed down, so this might be a typical misinformation from a dealership. But you’re CA is right about the timing to get the allocation, it can be weeks or months. No one can really say when and how many allocations a dealership would get in the future. So your best bet is to be on multiple dealer waitlists and hope for the best.

Also, allocation situation is way better now than how things where last year when most people were waiting for several months just for an allocation.

Dealer told me 1st guys car is in transit, second guy waiting on shipping date and I’d be 1.

Yeah you’d be one on the waiting list.

Good thing you asked about pipeline, I realized I forgot to mention asking about pipeline.

Regardless, as you can see, they have production numbers already meaning allocated cars so technically you’d be #1 on waiting list. I’d expect if it’s a good size dealer your allocation should come in first week of April or may and then 3-5 months after that

I checked out the order numbers for ya. Yeah you should be #1 and expect a allocation soon. They have 4 cars in the pipeline allocated which is a good sign, 2 in transit, one at port, one scheduled for prod. Glad this dealer is open to Show you pipeline. Same thing I went through when I went to go see second dealer in November, he showed me pipeline and I started at spot 1.

Little update guys:

Went to BMW north Scottsdale today and talked with Scott. Told him the situation. He said there are only 2 order in front of mine so looking 2-6 months before get allocated so a lot better than a year wait.

Haha. You posted the production numbers too so I just put it into the my garage app and added their cars on real quick to see their position (at port, in transit, etc) to see what it would say and if it matches the salesman’s claims.

Put my deposit down for G80 manual 2/24 and got my allocation yesterday and currently status 112. Was on list in Milwaukee since December, but vasillalov told me to try Elmhurst and glad he did!! Will be doing PCD

Yes, starting with MY24. So M4s built this month and on, and M3s beginning in July.

I think it's still random, as it has been for the past several months. I'm in 112 and do not have them. For MY24 everyone should get them.

Congrats - I just got my allocation as well this morning and I am located near milwaukee - they are my local dealer (IA and BMW Milwaukee North). I would have told you to look elsewhere too - they wanted a $5k markup for M3 allocation when I talked to them in Fall of 2022. So I ended up finding a dealer in Illinois as well. Not sure what the status is now but regardless, glad it worked out for you !

I'm still in 111 for my 6MT were I got allocation on 2/28 for WK17, but nothing on my build sheet for pretty M-belts. Crossing fingers to hit that lottery just like the Michelins
