Trail of the Dragon

My daughter and I took our first spin on the Tail of the Dragon yesterday in our G80 and it was a blast! Can't wait to do it again.

Something along the trip hit my driver rear door and damaged the PPF but the paint is fine. So glad that I made the investment in the PPF. Getting the door PPF panel replaced on Tuesday.

We had so much fun! I will say that it was pretty chaotic due to the weekend. There were a ton of people there.

Yeah, she's doing great. Fighting a little bit of a cold right now, but overall doing great. Next appointment is 10/18.

Dumb me, I forgot to manually start recording on my dash cam so I'm trying to stitch the individual recordings together to make it as seamless as possible. I'll probably have to ask her for help.

Nice to see, nay - SO nice to see you having a good time, lots of smiles.

I grew up in an area where smiling was illegal and enjoying anything was outlawed. So I’m always plussed to see kids happy and enjoying something.

And yesterday we both tested positive for Covid despite being cautious and masked. We're all vaxxed up as well. Daughter is asymptomatic and doing fine. I'm not and on a ton of meds but just now starting to feel better.

I’m not gonna lie to you. Covid was nightmare for me. I thought I was going to die. I could not use my throat, nothin, not even water for 10 days straight. Fever of 104. Hours went by and I thought they were days.it was excruciating pain to swallow anything at all… there are no words. I was drinking lidocaine and that gave me about 20min of relief.

Eventually landed in hospital but only for a few hours. Received steroids and was better within hours (thank god). But that ripping pain in my throat came back 3 days later and it took weeks to fully wane.

A month later I felt like I was getting sick again and nearly cried.
Fck’n nightmare.

Kids were sick for 2-3 days and were fine after that.

COVID is awful.
Some doctors won’t even see you if you have it, but don’t be afraid to hit up the ER.

Makes me so angry what the people who run this world have done to it… but that’s for another forum. Hope you’re both better and on the road soon!

Yeah, we've avoided it until now. Wife hasn't had it, is still negative, and she's an elementary school teacher. Now that's tough to do!

I got on steroids right away and, like you, started feeling better quickly. Not 100% yet, but getting there. It's the fever that wrecks me. I never had a bad cough. I'm also taking the anti-viral treatment as well. Sucks what you went through
