Thoughts on the Spool S58 IFX350 DI injectors?

S58 IFX350 DI injectors

I know that these have been released very recently but has anyone fitted these onto their S58 yet?

Curious to know, would these be able to flow full e85 on stock turbos without needing PI, and with a LPFP upgrade flow full e85 on upgraded turbos (ps2+ or mosselmans) also without needing PI?

30% is about what you would need to run e85 just not sure about the fuel pump.

What is the reputation of this company?
Will you need to wait for a hpfp?

Pi is good. the daze guys are deleting Di all together and just running PI. port injection is reliable and can make power where Di has some limitation more complications limitations. Everyone just wants to sell parts, work with an experienced engineer so you can come up with the right set up.

Not looking to make crazy power or chase records. Thinking 800-850ish whp at E?? on DI only, without adding any additional systems to the car.

"Thinking 800-850ish whp at E"--famous last words we all say lol

Every car is different but there's cars without PI making 700. Those should be capable of achieving your goals in theory. Based on that price you're looking at about the same as a PI setup using the stock intake manifold. Spool is also coming out with upgraded HPFP as well.

The real question is how much Ethanol can they it flow. You don't need much over E70 for big power goals.

Agreed, going to be doing my DP's and tune here soon, from talking with my tuner we should get around 700-740whp on around e40-50. That will suffice for a while, then go with upgraded twins, intake manifold and possibly spool injectors with their HPFP and possibly PFS LPFP (if needed).

Coming from my previous ride, 17 CTSV making 868whp.

I've seen 730 whp with just our downpipe, midpipe and custom flash tuned on e40 and 91 oct.

Definitely possible to get high 7's on full.

Are these injectors useless without a Hpfp?
The tuned guys without port injection, do you know if it’s the injectors or the Hpfp why you cannot run full e85 on stock turbos without port?

What Spool have told me its the injectors that's holding it back. We share the same injectors as the B58tu but they dont have dual HPFP like we do.

It does look like all the fast guys running no port with flash tunes on stock turbos are only running e40-50. I was wondering if it was the injectors or pumps holding them back.

Maybe more eth doesn't make them any faster so there's no point?

I have reached out to Spool and he has responded saying that these injectors alone will not be able to run full e85 on upgraded turbos. But it will be able to handle full E if paired with their still in development HPFP upgrade. He also stated that the injectors handling full E is a possibility on stock turbos with a LPFP upgrade. They are doing tests on their shop's s58 to find out more

Dang that sounds like 2k for Injectors and 4k for 2 HPFP plus another 1100 for LPFP upgrade to be able to run the full sauce

I figured these were going to have to be run with their new HPFP I talked about lol

This seems like a product for people who want to squeeze the absolute most out of their factory turbo setup on an e40-e50 (which is all you need, most tuners will never tune for full E85, usually e70-75 due to fluctuation in E content) tune without adding a motiv and PI.

The duty cycle on these will be adecent amount less then the factory ones on the current E50 tune someone has in their car which leaves more room to increase boost and fuel etc to squeeze more out if the stock turbos will take it.

I agree. There's not much benefit in going from E50 to a E85 tune on stock turbos even if you have the adequate fuelling in place from whether its PI OR these Spool injectors + LPFP. Although, you can gain about 0.3 sec faster times in the 100-200kmh from a E50 stock fueling stock turbo tune onto a full E85 stock turbo PI/injectors tune, which to some people is worth it but I'm not a fan of pushing the stock turbos to their extreme limits
