Tough crowd. Am really surprised by some of the negative and sometimes sharp responses towards a fellow member who took the time to create these renderings.

Going by the comments in the EVO 2021 where the M5CS (and the M2CS before it) were noted for their ride comfort improvement over the harsher Comp specs - I can see the M3/M4 CS winning EVO COTY 2023 and the M4 CSL missing out on EVO COTY 2022 for predictable reasons. Will be very happy to be proven wrong as 3/3 for M will make us all happy campers.
My fear is that the CSL will be too soft and road-biased.
My thinking is it won't be. They have been true to spec since they released their categories a few years ago. I can't see them deviating now. Note the very explicit removal of 'everyday suitability' for CSL vehicles.

You may be mistaking feedback on the nature of the CSL with the quality of the render. The render is beautiful. I haven't seen anyone criticise probably the best render of a CSL out there.

There are however some legitimate debates on the CSL vs CS models by members currently putting money down to secure places as they assess which model is best for them.

But could BMW ditch active dampers in favor of passive dampers to save weight? That would be a shocker wouldn't it? They did say the CSL cars were for the track, and you have to find 100kg weight savings from somewhere. Deleting back seats saves only about 50 pounds.
The M4 GTS was the most comfortable F8x variant due to its KW Clubsport 3-Way dampers. I was one of the people who thought my F80 M3 had a slightly harsh ride in its stock ZCP form. When I finally got to drive an M4 GTS with its default coilover damping settings, I was surprised how smoothly it rode over all bumps.

U should learn about supply and demand dynamics … it would blow ur mind next time u try to describe things w no context
I think with my MBA degree, I know exactly what is supply and demand means. People buy what they want is by choice, not because that they have to. BMW is not holding a gun to their buyers' heads and tell them to buy it. Consumers buy BMW because they want to.
So what's your point??
I don't think he has one…

Nice render OP!
If he does he should ask for his money back … or more likely, he should ask for daddy's money back.

The M5 CS was about $142K so since this is a CSL, I would think there will be a premium so at least $142K if not more. We still have to wait for the official unveiling of the M4 CSL, first drive reviews, and allocation process. I did some research as wasn’t there a vetting process with BMW where they decided who would get an allocation for the M4 GTS?

No there is no vetting process for BMWs (there was supposed to be an M4 GTS vetting process but it fell apart after the cars negative reviews is my understanding, cause people backed out). An M4 GTS was 133k and they couldn't give them away at one point. M5 CS allocations were totally wide open in June 2021, about 6 months after announcement (I must have called about 6-10 dealers just in my area that all would take an MSRP order). This won't be more than an M5 CS. Expect it to be around 135k-140k. It won't be BMW's most expensive car just cause it's a CSL.

There was a vetting process in the US. It is not that people backed out, it is because BMW produced an extra 100 units, all sent to the US at once at the end of production. Total of 803 instead of 700 for the world. So some dealers were stuck with those last 100 for a while. That is how I got mine. Could not get on the first list.
Reviews did not have much of an impact. It was a supply and demand issue for the US market. They almost all sold over MSRP in Europe and were sold out in no time there. They are still selling over MSRP down there after 4 years and average mileage. A low mileage example in Europe will cost you over $200,000 in the current market.

To go back to the subject at hand, I cannot see myself ordering this one. Boring back end and ugly front. I value style as much as performance. To each their own...

The taillights are exactly what I don't like about it. But to each their own.
