The g80 I finally located doesn't have this one option M drive Pro- have you driven with Traction completely off? Is it unreal rowdy for the seldom late night drift?

Yes, it really depends on the skill of the driver and the road conditions but it's not uncontrollable without traction control. The car has a lot of mechanical grip and M Drive Pro controls rear wheel slip, you just have to modulate it with your right foot.
