No track mode or drift analyzer?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Just bought a m3 x drive. Can’t find the drift analyzer or the track mode setting.. about 300 miles in but just curious why it’s not in my infotainment.
Does this come after the 1200 mile break in?

Thanks

It's an option that's not installed on the car most likely. They don't all get it and there is no path to retrofit so far.

Does your car have M Drive Professional? If not, no drift analyzer/10 stage traction control

Got it. So that is why you don't see it. Drift analyzer is part of that package.

Why do people feel like they need to hide their license plate in pictures?

Sure. But since DSC has to be off to do that you have no traction or stability control in 2wd.

The g80 I finally located doesn't have this one option M drive Pro- have you driven with Traction completely off? Is it unreal rowdy for the seldom late night drift?

Yes, it really depends on the skill of the driver and the road conditions but it's not uncontrollable without traction control. The car has a lot of mechanical grip and M Drive Pro controls rear wheel slip, you just have to modulate it with your right foot.

Thank you for the reply!! Kind of a bummer a lot of the cars I managed to find, this option wasn't added.

I may have to commit to loosing to this option and become a bit more familiar with the power when I want to have a little fun.
