Traction control ain't cutting power on a stage 1 G80 4WD from 50mph

Yes of course you can run mods without a catless dp but it appears the S58 platform allows serious gains without a catless dp compared to previous platforms such as S55, N55, etc.

I'm wondering what kind of whp gains we will see on the S58 with a proper tune, bolt-ons and some E mix, without a catless dp.

@M3AWD from my experience and knowledge with tuning cars, I've heard cats begin making a larger difference above 600whp. Still, I don't see it doing more then 15-25whp tops. Ethanol or race fuel is a different story.

Since the S58 is bi turbo'd it already has relatively small cats. I think they're each about 300 cell of restriction, compared to my N55 M2 for example, which has a single turbo and a single piped exhaust from the cat to the muffler. It has one 600cell primary cat.

I'm not sure how much of a difference high flow cats would make on this car…

Overall, this car is a BEAST. I cannot wait until I get to order one for myself. The day it's here I'm taking it straight to my shop with all the stickers/covers on it and getting the entire car clear bra'd.

I've never had a black car before but I was thinking about a black exterior/interior combo w/the upgraded seats, carbon roof & xDrive.

Matt did get a very slight jump on the second race. But that's just splitting hairs. He's a pretty fun dude & these cars continue to impress. Even in relatively stock form.

Im wondering if they cracked the ecu in house or have to ship it out? Im assuming its locked down like the rest of the 22's? Have a 22 m8 on the way and hoping for a non ship ecu tune.

I can't wait! My 22 sky over red g80x get her PSI midpipe, JB4, MSS HAS and spacers completed tomorrow…will post some pics and draggie times over weekend.

I'll preface my mood may be subdued to Matt, but I can't wait for a better exhaust note (blah out of factory), stance (way to high), and speed (great to bonkers). Not messing w DP at the moment, the car is already a beast in stock form.

I'm at about 7k miles and will soon need new tires shortly, be sure to budget for that. The PS4 lottery was epic to win.

Full steam ahead!!!

I guess the stock brakes really are very good. Thought there would more difference. On a single run, they are virtually the same as the carbons.

What did you expect. Brakes have to be stronger than what the tires are able to grip. Doesnt make any difference in a single brake test. With bigger/better brakes its always about longevity and durability.
