G80 M3 6MT long crank start issue

Hi guys I recently purchased a 2024 M3 6MT. The car drives perfectly except for one problem which is that sometimes upon starting the car I notice a long crank before it starts. It never happens when I turn off the car and start it again though so only if I leave the car for a while and come back but only occasionally as well. The car drives perfectly fine otherwise. If you guys have any idea what could be wrong please let me know.

Here is the video of the start: https://youtube.com/shorts/j_bApd5eM...4LAiMNwSbkSMwj

Hard to tell from the video, but it sounds like fuel delivery. The car is having no trouble cranking at all, just doesn't fire. Do you hear the fuel pump pressurize when you unlock the doors?

Regardless, you need to take it to the dealer. I'd advise doing an end-of-day or after hours dropoff, so that it has to sit there overnight before they look at it. Be specific with the service advisor that you want the tech to start the car and pull it in, not a porter.

Agree, doesn’t seem normal. Might ask the dealer (or a different dealer) if there is a spec for start time.

I experienced the same exact thing on my 6MT when it had a couple hundred miles on it.

Took it to the dealership a couple times, they couldn’t find any issues.

It ended up going away on its own after a week or two.

Other folks who had similar issue had spoiled spark plugs due to a bad fuel injector. I’d start looking there.
