This is literally the only redeeming feature of an otherwise awful car design.

I'm staying with the M standard seats, as ventilated seats is preferred living in the humid southeast, especially with a convertible. Looking forward to the M carbon bucket seats when I track the G82 in Germany with the BMW M driving programs— once the boarders open up again.

These seats are the proof that you can make something different that won't split opinions or disappoint your long time customers...

They are an impressive seat. However, for a true street/track vehicle, Porsche has a full-carbon sport bucket, with true sub-strap capability and manual-only (read: lightweight) adjustment. It's optional in the 911 and Cayman.

BMW should offer it's M4GTS seat as a possible option (FIA-approved, 5/6pt. harness-capable, and highly lightweight).

If you want a GT car and are less concerned about driving at the track, these seats (either the sport or carbon seat from BMW) look quite nice!

Nice touch on the removable headrest pad for the helmet clearance.

Haha same. I'm not 100% committed to a G80 but these buckets are pretty special.

If you haven't sat in these seats i'd advise doing so before ordering. I'm 177cm and 85kg and i found them to be extremely snug at the launch the bolster adjustment was at its maximum. They were also hard to get out of in jeans due to the high sides.

For reference I currently have an M2 comp and on my G80 order I have opted for the normal M seats, they were extremely comfortable compared to the previous gen M seats in my M2C

I've had the opportunity to sit in the CF seat and they are tight. I'm about 6'2 200lbs. lower side bolsters were my biggest issue and they are definitely going to wear like crazy (the alcantara on the lower bolsters) Unless you are tracking the car or are a smaller nimble person i don't think it would be wise to get the CF seats even for all the clout in the world. Getting in and out of them is a chore as well. side note, they look awesome.

Maybe I am in the minority here but the previous seats are much nicer.
It also seems that BMW lately can not produce a nice, smooth leather surface without a bunch of ugly wrinkles on it...

The carbon seats are a knockout. Can't wait to order these for the e9x platform 😃

Someone make them fit the F80 or F82. These carbon seats are beautiful...

One of the best features of the G8x, you'd be crazy not to spec the cf seats.

The real question is; are the buckets heated? I would assume they are as they are power operated. I always liked the carbon buckets in the Giulia QV but they of course had limitations, like no heating and being manually operated only.

Oh damn... I was decided to get the M Sport seats mainly due to them being ventilated and for a long drive comfort. I'll have to check the M Carbon buckets but I wonder how one would fit comfortably when wearing a winter jacket.

Which of course, is not such a nice thing to conclude. It's only a seat after all.

Great seats the pair of them. I would go for CF Bucket Seats...15 years ago, but now it would have to be the M sport Seats. Not sure if I qualify for being 'Athletic' enough to get in and out.
