Really glad I went with the CF Buckets. They blow anything any other car manufacturer is doing out of the water.

Absolutely getting those. I work from home full time and most of my driving is short and local so I'm not too concerned about long term comfort plus they just look too awesome to pass up.

The only thing I worry about with the M carbon bucket seats is choosing them in conjunction with the 6MT.

I wonder if the footwork necessary to operate the clutch/brake/gas will be slightly annoying with that center hump bulge between your legs.

Has anyone who's getting the 6MT thought about this?

Good point but I'm pretty sure they've been tested on 6MT cars.

Get them in Kyalami Orange, and if they don't work for you just ship them to me and I'll ship you the standard M sport seats. I'll cover the shipping cost

The CF seats are something fantastic about the G8X M. It was about damn time we had a really nice optional seat!

And hopefully this means that the G8X GTS/CSL will be available with these seats from the beginning in the US.

I love how on both seats, helmet fitment was a topic they considered

Yes, the regular ones look great but the CF ones are "more better" for sure

Kind of like CCB brakes, I like them purely for aesthetics

no seriously...it could bother. best is to try it out yourself and sit in one if you have the possibility.

These new CF bucket seats seem like the best thing about the G8x platform, BMW knocked it out of the park by the looks of them. Very cool feature with removable headrest too.

After driving a few Porsches with their bucket seat options I came to appreciate just how much more connected to a car you feel with a seat that really holds you in place. This is easily worth the slightly more challenging ingress/egress IMO.
