Are you going without the Executive Package?

I’m planning on skipping the executive package, and going with the full orange leather option. Besides the headlights, nothing really seems be to my liking.

If I order one I will most likely skip the executive package as well. All I would really want would be the heads up display which I love and maybe the laser lights but since it's a bundle with extra fluff not sure it's worth the extra cost at least to me. Resale though, it might help if you plan on buying instead of leasing?

Yeah, similar situation and planing on leasing so not worried about re-sale.

Remote start, the headlamps, heated steering wheel, and power tail gate are all excellent options IMO. Exec pack is a must for me.

This ^ but I don't care about power liftgate, whereas head-up display is nice to have for sure.

same philosophy as why many members see full leather as a "must have" for a car that stickers close to six figures... many others see these features as essentials for a car this caliber.

3K USD isnt bad for HUD + laser light alone are pretty reasonable.. the rest are solid freebies

Living in Chicago, heated steering wheel and remote start are huge. Especially remote start since I couldn’t get that option in my last two BMWs. If I lived in a warm climate, I’d skip.

I don't care that the tailgate raises, but I like the fact that the apron below the tailgate folds down at the same time. Easier to load

I'm getting it mostly for the HUD and headlights. I'm not sure I'll ever use the gesture control as I'm athletic enough to reach over to the volume knob while I'm driving. I've been manually closing my trunk for my whole life, but I will say that the auto close on my Jeep is nice to have. And, if the car closes it itself perhaps that will stop it from randomly popping back open (I had $1200 stolen from my trunk because my car did this). The heated steering wheel is nice to have in Ohio. The wireless charging spots always seem usefully out of the way, but maybe this one will be better. Also depending on how nice the Android Auto integration is to stop me from needing physical access to my phone while driving. I definitely am not going to pay for wifi in my car. I use the remote start on my Jeep daily in the winter to start it from far inside the hospital at work, but since the M4 doesn't do snow it's not as important on it.

Executive is definitely a must for me. The HUD and LED headlights are significant enough, not to mention the remote start and heated steering wheel will for sure come in handy.

I do agree with you all, lol. I am in FL so the heated wheel isn't a deal breaker. Also I will be coming from a M2C, so HUD isn't as important as well. Now I have seen a 7 series with a laser it looked really nice, but regular LED looked nice as well. Instead of spending 3K on that considering, spending that on HAS, which at least from all the pics that's available, it's a must IMO.

M3C, Green, orange carbon seats, and full leather is what I am considering. So it's a pretty bare bone car lol.

I suppose if you haven't had a HUD you don't know what you're missing, but I definitely wouldn't get a car without one now.

My wife's car has it, so as my parents X7. It's a nice feature. My buddies M4C got it as well but again it's not a deal breaker for me. If we were getting serious deals on leases I would've check the pkg.

No for me, I test drove the M340i I was planning on buying before I changed the order to the M3 with HUD and I was very disappointed small text and hard to read with sun glare, the only good item in this PKG is the laser lights, but not worth $3000.

Unless these new models are somehow different with the HUD than the F30/80 I've never had a problem reading the HUD in any of my previous BMWs.

For me the HUD itself is worth 3000, because it is something if you never had one it is not that of an attractive feature, but once you use one for a long time you don't want to downgrade.

The HUD isn't a dealbreaker for me. I had it in my 5 series, but don't have it in my current 4 series. The problem I had is that when you have polarized sunglasses on, you can't see the HUD. Does anyone else have this problem?

I can still see it. It's just dimmer.

On my X3 M40i that is the one complaint I have as well. I also have a C6 corvette with HUD and the same issue when wearing polarized glasses (very difficult to see and sometimes not at all)

Such a shame because I do love HUD.

As much as polarized are much better for driving I had to go find some quality non-polarized ones for my car and save the polarized for my HUDless Jeep.

I use RayBan non-polarized glasses. I don't want to lose HUD and I tend to wear sunglasses for all daytime driving.
