My bicycle has bigger brake calipers.

The brake disc looks like someone ordered the wrong part from Rockauto.

The diffuser looks like it has bad fitment.

The exhaust tips remind me of an IS-F running to the bathroom.

Why is one wheel black?
One side is black and the other is gold to showcase the two color options.

I don't even know what to say about the rear brake caliper...I guess I'd like to know more about the engineering behind this design. If all the weight is transferred to the front of the car during braking, then do larger rear calipers really have a purpose anyway? How do these floating rear calipers hold up under serious track use? I can't imagine BMW would really use them on a M car if they didn't get the job done...

I'm ready for LCI...big time.
Those puny rear calipers are necessary for the new e-parking brake. They really suck for track use because you wont be able to perform a track side brake job without bringing your laptop with you to reset the parking brake. As for their size, maybe with all that front weight bias, BMW figured the rear brakes wont be working that hard .

I understand it was named for The Mosport track, if so it should be called Bomanville or Mosport. Toronto has nothing to do with car racing and is over an hour away

Looks like I am in the minority here, but I really like this build. First to get me interested in the G8X. Sure maybe the rear diffuser and exhaust is a bit overdone or just not balanced, but overall I like the aggressiveness of the build. Would like to see it on the coupe - is that car off to the right the coupe? The only problem is that the price of it with these options is probably 90-100k. Also, I wish bmw would offer the M performance full kit like this at factory, so you didn't have to pay 'aftermarket-like' prices for it after original sale, nor the install costs.

Please explain, what about this car is aggressive?

I'm supposed to want to spend thousands of dollars more for those body and exhaust modifications; right?

That's why I'm not having MPHAS port installed. I wish to retain my OEM springs. I'll have the dealer install it.

My build was $94k for a 6MT G80. Please let me know if you find a better value for a 4 door six-speed manual performance car. FYI, i could easily afford a 911S but I actually LIKE the way this car looks.

It is not related, it *is* the electronic parking brake. The actuator is in the caliper.

Could BMW have provided a fixed-multipiston caliper with a built-in actuator for the electronic parking brake instead of this sliding caliper crap? Yes, Brembo can supply such a caliper. But BMW is cheap for stupid things.

Okay, lets look at the positives here:
I think that's a great color.
There aren't any other cars in this segment currently that you can get with a 6 speed.

The rear caliper is not sealed due to the electronic emergency break but size of rear caliper did not have to do with the EEB to my knowledge. The MB AMG GTR has a rear caliper with the EEB that's still big if I am correct.

This reminds of the late 90's civics with giant wheels and stock brakes. I am sure they were/are plenty functional, but on a car approaching $100k, this is laughable. Add the winglets and other weird aero stuff that has no business on a street car and it's just fail.

I am sure the engine will be a beast, it will handle great, and the interior is actually pretty good; but there is no way I buy this car. I sincerely hope folks at BMW are paying attention to the negative comments on this car and the 4 and they make a change with the LCI like they have with other mistakes (e46 steering, f30 steering/ suspension, etc.)

Positive comment- the red is nice. I miss Imola though.

When I say aggressive I mean that it looks tough, masculine, 'mean. All parts of the exterior are aggressive to me because they have the cuts, scoops, edges that are usually associated with aggressive driving, spirited driving. I can understand why some would say this build is overdone or just not their taste, but I find it hard to not find it aggressive, which would imply you find it boring and dull. No?

Looks great in Torch Red, definitely looks better than that two-tone scheme used the first time the M Performance parts.

Still not sure what to think of the exhaust though.

I wouldn't say it's boring or dull. There is way too much going on for it to be either.

I find motorsport "aggressive" suggests functional race car. These are all nonsensical molded body lines and carbon aero bits in name only. I feel weird saying it, but the Gx M's looks better left alone. I guess when have M performance parts (excluding inconel exhaust) ever been anything more than carbon bling.

Definitely not my taste, but to each their own. I respect your appreciation for the car. Just hurts to hear it
