Would you order 20" (or 19") wheels all around if it was an option?
Something I have been thinking about...
I'm not rehashing the debate and opinions on WHY BMW choose to go with a staggered 19in front/ 20 inch rear setup or IF there is truly any ultimate grip/handling feel benefit. It is clear BMW feels there is some combination of the two that drove them to choose the setup as is. If BMW offered 20in fronts as an option, N/C or say an [un]reasonable charge ~$600-$900. Would you option your M3/M4 that way? I would pay for 20s if need be, obviously prefer they be free, if there is some incremental perf benefit I would sacrifice it for the sake of a symmetrical look. also curious if anyone would stick with 19s all around if they were offered |

I think the staggered setup looks cool and I'd stick with it. Upping the front size would likely hurt ride comfort.
BMW seems to want to up wheel sizes and make the tyres progressively skinnier over time. What's the profile of those 20 inch rears? 30? Yikes. Think I'd prefer the 18/19inch option so I don't rattle my teeth loose and worry as much about the odd pothole. Lower profile tyres kerb more easily too... |

I voted for 19 all around because I would anyway get proper aftermarket wheels.
