G80 M3 Comp vs F90 M5 Comp and F93 M8 Comp

How do you think the new G80 would perform off the line against the others? And at highway speeds?

Got some friends with one of each so was curious.

Not that well. There is a video out there with a stock M8 running against an X3M tuned to 550hp on a glued track showing the slips and the M8 is winning each of three runs. The X3M is fast though (runs a sub 11 sec.) but the M8 is just too powerful. This should be similar to a stock G80 AWD vs an M8. 10% more power on the tuned X3M vs a stock G80 comp. and roughly 10% more weight.

The engine in the M5 and M8 comp. is an animal.

The M5 and M8 have a 12~14% power-to-weight advantage over the G8X. The G8X will be left in the dust by both of them from a dig or a roll.

Here’s the link to the lightly tuned X3M vs the stock M8. It’s better quality than most of shady stuff out there. Even if it can’t match the M8 They are impressed by it and on paper a stock G80 AWD should perform similarly, maybe a bit better due to less drag towards the end.

If you are willing to tune, you can give your buddies some headache.
