Off-topic:
Links: see here and here. Design number: D897902 | Filing date: Aug 5, 2019 | Registration Date: Oct 6, 2020. Ask at Rennlist. It's clearly a more track-oriented modified 718 Cayman GT4 featuring for example the latest GT wing design language and hood pin tethers. To filter only car designs, add the following: in the "Design" tab, "Description" section, type "toy" (a reference to "Indication of products: Motor vehicle, toy and/or replica"). |

I've never seen a more terrible looking BMW convertible.

I think my parent's convertible Corvette looks great, but I always think that BMW convertibles look horrible. It seems to work for some car brands and models and not for others.

Couldn't agree more! Was really disappointed to see the shift back. Yet, they'll no doubt keep the cost increase that came when they switched from cloth to hard top.
This car is already so heavy, that the weight saving are irrelevant in my opinion. Plus that mass is lower and over the rear axel top down, so the CG argument is weak in my book.

I'm glad BMW is still going to offer this model. There's no replacing the feeling of a convertible, especially in nice climates like California and Florida. Yes it won't be as driver focused as the coupe but it has it's place.
I'm just not sure how many they will sell. The 2-series vert got canned and the Z4 is a needle in a haystack.

Then you have beauties like the Lexus LC500 convertible. Now that is a stunner and perpetually on my list.
