Dealer will charge the most. I have a friend who is a BMW tech and he helped me to install them. It all depends where you live I guess, if you are in So Cal, Supreme Power does good work and install springs for a good rate from what I see.
Nah, Springfield Missouri. I don't really think there's a single good worthy place, it's devastating haha.

The prices on the CF parts, especially aftermarket, are insane.

CT Carbon just released pricing on their kits. They are very competitively priced. No idea what quality is like: https://www.ctcarbon.co/collections/g80-m3

In theory, given the insane BMW mark-up, there's no reason why these couldn't be similar quality to the OEM parts, but who knows. I might take a punt though

Went on my first road trip. Little over 300 miles including some good high and low speed twisty sections.

This car is so deceptively quick its going to take some getting used to. It's very comfortable at cruising speed and an absolute weapon on curves. Looking forward to the 1200 mile service so I can really stretch it out but I'm pleased with how fun it is even below 5500 rpm.

It's not a fender guard but more a tire cover.

People in Europe remove them usally...

You're right. I was watching the Evolve video on the MSS spring install and the guy ripped them out and tosses them away...I'm like wait! I just spent 170 dollars for those over-priced pieces of plastic!

I'm not sure I will keep them but I will give them a go. I have to say I am used to the Porsche tax but BMW has a pretty nice VAT going on as well!

They look killer don't get me wrong, just warn others whenever I see them do it.
That is good info, thank you, I will keep an eye on them going forward. Molded caps sounds like a real pain in the butt.
I had the m stem caps on my f80 for a couple years and no problems. They are on my M4 now. Granted I live in the Midwest, so it doesn't ever sit in triple digits all day at work.

Edit: also I reckon that BMW would sort you out if you bought stem caps from your dealer and they melted
Mine didn't melt, they welded themselves to the valve stem. Like I said though, this was 7 years ago…maybe they fixed it, I just warn others to check them everyone now and then to see if they are doing that and if so, get them off.

EDIT: I live in NH, is may have been due to winters here with salt on the roads and such; really not sure

I take my cars to a good tuner shop (…EAS, Supreme Power, AutoTalent, Strassesport, etc.). All are in SoCal though.

Grass is always greener I guess. I think they look cool and make the car look wider, I'll keep them on

It's not a fender/wheel guard but the EU automakers laws/rules are that no part of the tire can stick out of the fender, so this is automakers' solution.

Mine arrive Wednesday and MSS is going on Thursday so hopefully I will have the same result as you. I did not have mine painted. Thanks for posting pictures of yours as I was going to paint them as we share the same color. I decided for me the matte look suits me better. Again, thanks.

I'm also from the Springfield area, you should check out PHP Specialists in Joplin, MO. I took my Golf there a couple of times and they do good work.

Which one did you get, and what sunglasses do you store in there? All of the amazon reviews on the two I found say they aren't big enough for "normal" sunglasses.
