How many m3 or m4 xdrive in twin cities

Hello everyone. Was just curious how many m3 or m4 x drives are in the twin cities. Haven’t seen any (haven’t seen any rear drive ones either).

I have seen 3 in my area of the western suburbs including mine. 1 Brooklyn grey M3 in the Maple Grove area and another BG M4 in Plymouth. I also saw a black M3 in Downtown Minneapolis along Washington avenue.
Do you have your M already?

That black M3 was probably my car. I live downtown in Minneapolis. I picked up my car last Tuesday. Would be cool if we could all get together in a "cars and coffee" once the weather warms up. I lived in the DC area a couple of years ago and would always take my corvette to the one in falls church, VA

Great! Congrats! That black M3 was several months back so I guess that's your twin. Anyways, yeah we can roll to C & C together and maybe with MNBMW. There is another guy in my area who will take delivery of his M3 in the spring ( cross his fingers). Anyways, I will send you my contact info.

Did you end up doing front plates? Really don’t want to do front plates on my car if I can help it.

No, I did not and have no plans to install at all. So far, no hassle from 👮*♀️. I will push it until whenever 😎.

I think it would great if we G owners can meet one day! This thread is promising 👍🏽. Thanks for the sharing your Twin Cities G80/82 sightings.

I 100% agree. Maybe when the weather warms up. On another note I have the winter wheel tire package and have been daily driving the m3. Best winter traction I have had in any car. I can accelerate as hard as I want and not completely lose traction. Granted I’m mostly cautious but it gives me more confidence than my wife’s suv.
Who would have thought!

Did you get the 829 winter set up or use a different package?

Good for you and your M3! How were you able to find those 829m winter wheel package? They are still unobtonium to this very day.

I have Michelin all seasons on the stock 826 and they perform excellent in the snow re accelerating from a stop. But compared to the Hakkapelitta's I had on my F80, they stopped the car with less authority but still adequate.

Just got a lucky allocation for a G82x in ARM, and I'm curious if you've found going from summers to all seasons better than switching into a winter set.

I can picture it now, we get a nice 60 degree day in April then it snows the next week :/

Touche. April is confusing month. I’m running all seasons until probably May, then put the summer shoes back. I would’ve gotten winters, but they’re hard to come by currently. The Conti DWS06+ have been fine thus far.

Cheers to meeting up in the spring.

Congrats on the allocation! I find the all seasons on stock wheels adequate. Accelerating from a stop on the Xdrive is actually excellent. My main complaint is that the rear still sways sideways when negotiating a curb and I am thinking partly because of the wider rear wheel and the RWD bias. I tried negotiating the same curb with my A5 convertible on all weather Nokians and it was more stable. And I remember my F80 on Hakka's R2's grabbing curbs better as well…oh well. These are my initial impression on the all season compared to the the winters. But the true comparison is when I use winters on the G82. It seems like Gustiemo's Xdrive M3 on Alpins is terrific.

I ordered it early September through the dealership. Wife thought I was jumping the gun initially when I ordered but they were sold out later on so I lucked out.

They were at the dealership for 3 months until the car came.

Looks like this thread is getting busy. I can’t wait to hopefully meet up with everyone.

I got the 829 winter set up. Will put the summer wheel/tire package around April if the weather doesn’t get erratic.

Yea I have looked for a winter setup and saw them back in the fall but of course no existent now. My car just moved to QC today so we will see how long it takes to finally get here. I am actually fine if it does not till late April so I don't have to switch the tires lol.

Does anyone know what wait time or allocations are like right now for xdrives at Minnetonka or motorwerks? If you went through either dealership did you get it at msrp?

Also, is bmw select financing offered here in the Midwest?
