Unfortunately not really. Stop sales aren't the only thing done at the ports. At the VPC, vehicles go through final assembly, are processed, inspected for damage, and repaired if necessary. There are also options that are installed at the port rather than the factory. Most of the M Performance items, like the exhaust and some carbon bits are port installed. If they don't have these parts in stock, it's not a stop sale, but they do need to wait until they arrive before the car ships.
True but for people like me and you approaching week 8 I think they would have done most of that already

I thought the same thing … it appears car sat with no port-installed options done while they waited for the RAM.

This Port is the cesspool of all VPC's in the US.

In this all weird waiting.
The only bothers me, is the fact the cars are not being fixed First In - First out.

Like someone said, if you car was let to the end of the lot. You will wait for a long period.

Quote me if I'm wrong but I could I have swore I read somewhere that they are going by production date to fix the RAM issues. BTW, do you know if they fix them at the port in Germany as well since some people are stuck there waiting to be shipped.

No update on my end. I spoke to my case manager at the Genius line this morning. There is no update on my specific car. They do get an update on the whole system every Monday which gives them some insight into what is going on. They had not received that message at the time I spoke to him.

My understanding is US bound cars do not get any stop sales fixed anywhere other than VPC. That was certainly the case for me as I was in QC for 8 weeks without the stop sale closing. No one seems to know how bmw prioritizes the order of who gets fixed first - the two theories seem to be either production date or arrival at VPC but there seem to be exceptions if either of these are correct. my car started/finished production 7/22 & 9/22 and I arrived at VPC 1/14. No clue how much longer it will be for me expecting anywhere from a few more weeks to a few more months…

That's my point too.

I'm seeing cars being produced after mine being delivered.(even in the same dealership).

I can imagine how frustrate is for some members here waiting for weeks for their cars.

I wonder how this all compares to others like Audi and Mercdes. I know my local Audi dealer said a new RS7 order is a year out which is one of the reasons I bought a BMW. Its not a great feeling that BMW will not tell any of about the process, maybe there isnt one....................

They are all having problems. Friend of mine built-up a new G63 online and placed the order. The dealer calls him up and tells him that his truck is on the way, but due to the incredibly limited supply of these trucks, they now need a $75k market adjustment on top of the MSRP. He told him to screw off.

My local Audi dealer has no inventory except for a weird amount of q3-q7s and they all have a 10k markup…

15k for sq5

25k for anything nice

And 50k for anything rare… it's getting ridiculous

So after all of the talk about parts maybe arriving in Baltimore, did any one see any movement at all? Or heard anything from their CA? I crossed the two month mark yesterday.

My problem with Audi's are the exterior design.
They don't look different from the normal versions(For some it's a good thing).

I’ve been at the Baltimore VPC with a RAM stop sale open work order since 10/15 (m340 and HK audio) that finally closed this morning. It is comical that Customer service gave me an update today that they talked to Regional management and didn’t know when the parts/car would be fixed (prior to me checking the recall tool which reflects as ‘Closed’). Confirmed with the general sales manager who stated getting on a truck to Missouri could take days/weeks so more of a wait but at least movement within the Baltimore VPC.

Congrats man! I hope your car catches a ride to Missouri ASAP. Anyone with a G8x see any Baltimore movement. I'm just looking for some hope here.

Congrats! Ok so nobody reporting any G8x movement at all. Here is what I'm thinking. One of three options...

1) The alleged batch of parts received is actually not the part needed fix to the G8x vehicles.
2) The 340 and 440s repaired have been there longer than our cars (debunked)
3) There is no rhyme or reason and nobody knows what is going on.
