ETA is late tomorrow. I think it will be fine.

I reached out to my broker today and they said their contact at the dealership said my car may have arrived, yet when I called the genius today they said my car was at the port and no ETA on parts to fix the recall so I don't know which one to believe until I hear back from my contact at the dealer tomorrow

That's quite the wait. Congratulations on making it one step closer. Hope it's smooth sailing from here.

The genius line constantly gave me random information. They’re behind on updates. My car had a work order placed on the 8th and they had told me that it doesn’t mean my car will be fixed because there are no parts available. Kept calling and then finally on the 15th I got someone that told me my car was fixed and is schedule to be at the dealership on the 17th. Checked this morning and my car is already at the dealer and ready to be transported. Keep your hopes up and keep calling.

I didn't wanna give you too much hope but I knew yours would be fixed soon based on what I was getting from Genius and my SA. I picked mine up today.

Still waiting for the parts. The car has been in the U.S. for 6 days and no news once again, after sitting in Bremerhaven for 40 days.

Just got word that recall has been completed and my car should arrive to the dealer on Saturday or Monday. Its been at the port in Baltimore since the 6th. Give some timeline to others waiting for the recall at the port.

I finally received word that the module was fixed today. With any luck, I'll have the car for the weekend. But I'm not going to hold my breath.

For everyone else reading this thread, I called Genius, today, and this doesn't seem to be affecting the G82 models.

Anyone else still waiting on this? Ordered the car in April and I've got this stop-sale *plus* the camera retrofit. I think at this rate some 2022 M3s will arrive before I get my car *facepalm*.

Same here. Ordered my 21' M3 Comp in March. Has a stop sale for the audio module and camera retrofit. Going on 5 months since the order was placed and other than a work order being opened, no one has a clue as to when it will actually be delivered.

Part of me wants to just walk away but the voice in my head tells me it will worth the wait.

Dang you've been waiting even longer than me! Definitely not a good sign in my case (i.e. - expecting to wait 5+ months), but respect for being that patient.

Agreed with it being worth the wait. In a messed up way these delays/scarcity of resources make the car that much more special/hard to find.

I have no proof of this, but I wouldn't be surprised if BMW stopped making them after a few years if these conditions continue. I'd imagine it's probably a huge supply-chain headache and financial liability for them as well.

I remember reading an article a few months back where someone at BMW was quoted saying that they did not expect production to be affected by the chip shortage. At the time, I was suspicious but thought maybe they planned ahead. Well, that was b/s.

I definitely have mixed feelings with the brand right now. They could (and still can) have done a much better job of communicating delays and having a better way of providing detailed status info for the build progression. The fact that 22' model cars are about to be delivered and here we are still waiting for a 21' kind of says something.

Believe me, I've gone back and forth about 4-5 times on whether to cancel my order. I did get a pretty good deal 5% off MSRP + $500 loyalty. I also have OL code from a driving event that I've asked them to honor. We'll see if they do. I know I couldn't touch that deal if I were looking to order right now so it looks like I just continue to play the waiting game.

Here's to hoping today is the day for both of us

I ordered mine in early March and am still in the dark on a delivery date. They told me the fix was complete but its still stuck in an open work order status. Sales manager has repeatedly attempted to contact the VPC but they are (apparently) not responding. The lack of communication from BMW is borderline incompetent.

Receiver module issue
Week 26 build done june 28/29, arrived to Brunswick ~7/27 after spending 2 weeks in the german port and still no news or eta on the ..part?? or smth.
The genius was worthless and the dealer not much better, but coming from the Part departments - the problem is they do not have the part itself at VPC and they cannot release the car that way to the dealer.

Frustrating AF… thinking of just getting an M5 but ….manual…..
