Looking good. 15 looks dark.

I'm assuming you are not a frozen paint, and you did stealth to give it the frozen look?

Exactly. Frozen look + protection. 15% is pretty dark but the lighting here makes it look darker than I think it really is.

I’d be interested in getting together to compare, as I’m frozen dark gray. When I get it that is.

For sure. I’m curious about that as well. Let us know when she’s here!

Put an order in today @ BMW Denver Downtown. No markup.

Current build.

xDrive
Brooklyn Grey w/ blk wheels
Full blk leather w/ CF trim
CCBs
Parking pkg
Blk laser lights

There are 3 people ahead of me with orders in waiting on allocations (less than other CO dealers). I'm guessing an allocation in Oct/Nov, and delivery in Spring - which is perfect.

I'm not 100% set on the color, but they had a Brooklyn Grey RWD Comp on the floor, which looked fantastic.

Congrats on the order. I've seen two Brooklyn Grey's and they've looked amazing. Hopefully we'll see you around next spring.

Sounds AWESOME. We will have to set some meet-ups once we all have our cars. Mine could use some G-8X company.....

Selling my F80 on Tuesday and looking at getting in line for a G80 x drive. Was quoted about a 6 month wait to get an allocation slot 😮*💨

Going to try and get an order in since I'll miss not having a BMW for a bit.

Hopefully looking to order a Black Safire or Portimao Blue with Fiona red carbon buckets, bi-color wheels, exec & tech package with shadow line trim, carbon interior trim, Icon headlights and probably skipping out on the exterior carbon.

Are you guys planning on driving your G80s in the snow this winter?

For me, that is a no. It hardly gets rained on. BUT on those many Denver days where it is above freezing and sunny, i twill be out and about.

I am not planning on driving in the snow, and thus have plans to swap out summer tires. I have two other cars both with winters that I plan to use.

6 month wait to get an allocation, wow, things really have slowed down. So that puts you at roughly May of next year before you would get the car.

I am toying with the idea of treating myself with a base M3 for my 40th birthday (midlife crisis kicking in I guess) since I have never owned a full M car and I miss driving a manual car. It would be my dd though and I am not sure how the rwd G80 would handle snow. Looks like winter tire options are limited at the moment and the aggressive front facia/ground clearance could be an issue.

Hey everyone - my M4cx should be arriving in a month and some change. Currently “at the port” in Germany. Seen some PPF discussion here and I’m trying to figure out what I want to do for PPF. I’m up north and got a quote for $3500 front/$8400 full xpel ultimate or stealth. Seems on the high side. If anyone’s gotten a better rate, would you mind PMing me with details?

Do you guys actually care about these cars that much to spend that kind of money?

I spent $350 to do the hood, fenders, mirrors, door cups, and rear bumper. Would have been $850 total to include the front bumper.

To each their own, but gosh it's not really "that" fancy of a car IMO. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the car but I wanna retire at 59 and that kind of dough for PPF is just mind blowing.

i have frozen paint and i don't want to maintain or worry about it, friend with frozen gray m4 gts has full PPF and its great, literally zero work, plus i plan on tracking my car, so i want the extra protection, given that you can't polish frozen paint, etc.

so, not really sure? i don't think this is collectors car or anything, i just don't want to deal with the paint, glossy or frozen. i will be getting tint and wheels ceramic coated as well.

Folks spend this kind of money all the time on any number of options or mods. I personally choose PPF. Makes the car incredibly easy to keep clean without worrying about micro scratches and swirl marks. Like you said, to each their own...
