Good news this morning! I also arrived at Hueneme on 1/5, and ha stop sale for "0065600300 Checking the installation of amplifier, retrofitting if necessary (note: not confirmed message)"

As of this morning the VIN status has been closed! That was 14 days stuck at VPC. Hopefully that means I can take delivery in a few days.
Congrats! Mine arrived at same port on 1/3 but hasn't been closed yet. Hope it'll will be closed soon.

Looks like you only had the one stop sale to check if it was installed, where as most of us look like we have the additional stop sale, 0065480300, where it needs to actually be installed.

Mine arrived at Oxnard on 1/3 and both stop sales are still open as of right now. That or they just pick and choose which ones they want to complete with no real order or prioritization based on arrival date.

Correct, it was only to check. I have no idea if the part still needed to be installed or not. I also added a port installed wing to my build the day before it arrived at port, so I don't know how that factored in. Also, my CA called BMW yesterday to get an update, and possibly push it through. I have no idea if that had anything to do with the update this morning.

They'll probably prioritize the ones with less stop sale on it to clear their lot faster. But no one has legit info on their logistic. Really frustrating.

Has anyone with the RAM stop sale received delivery yet from the Baltimore VDC? Ordered my xDrive 2022 M3 on July 16th, arrived in Baltimore on 10/29, and it’s still sitting there gathering dust. Curious if there have been ANY deliveries from that VDC after this issue. Geniuses are given no info and get me nowhere.

Sorry to hear man. No, We haven't really seen any real movement at all from Baltimore since around 12/22. There are lots of us still there though. My car got there on 11/24.

Thanks. Good to know I’m not alone. Given how long it’s been, I’m not sure if I’d be pissed or encouraged if someone else got their car out of Baltimore before me.

Has anyone else realized that the amount of information the Geniuses have on our cars seems to have decreased? A rep used to be able to look at the work order, tell me what it was for, and whether or not there was a remedy identified. Now it seems that all they have on their system is the work order open date. Anyone else have the same experience?

Just got an email from my SA. I have missing the RAM and the booster(amplifier). BMW AG has no idea when the parts arrived. Buildweek 46 en status 155 on 11/18. I'm in Belgium. Waiting, Waiting.....I go crazy!!

They have been playing everyone who purchased a special order from them since last year. The RAM doesn’t just get accidentally Not installed for 1000s of BMW’s, which coincidentally all got accidentally shipped from multiple different manufacturing sites and then miraculously all 1000+ cars were caught right before delivering from the port to dealership which we have all been waiting for. It is pretty insulting to me, considering that it takes a child to read the news and do some research and figure out that the semiconductor chips for that RAM module are supplied by a company who exhausted their entire 2022 back supply at the end of last year… so, I would let the dealership know that your business with BMW is at jeopardy if they think they continue to treat us like oblivious idiots for 2-4 months. I can understand the strategy to not lose customers when they knew they would be able to get most cars retrofitted within a month or so that had arrived at the ports last year. But at this point, no one should expect to be getting their car before spring-summer.. unless you bought 175-200k on a really special order.

Told my SA today that I basically expect used car pricing at this point when my car finally shows up. Anyone know if these cars are sitting outdoors?

If I ran BMW I’d be pulling RAM chips out of cars that are already on the lot to put them in these already sold vehicles. This is beyond ridiculous.

In this market it's probably not going to save you any money lol! I dont think non-sold orders even get shipped over.

There are 2 paths on this:

1) Probably, the used price is more than your brand new.
2) At this point, he will more than happy to give your money back and have a brand new M car to set a good 10k ~ 15k markup.

I would suggestion to use this delay to try to improve the deal, like APR or a better leasing condition.

Knowing , all negotiations at this point will result in a bad scenario for the customer, because the second option.

It's a sellers market. Doesn't hurt to ask, but in most cases we're SOL.

Hey guys, want to ask you is it possible that the recall/stop sale status appear after the car arrives at VPC?

As currently my car is in-transit to VPC and there is no STOP SALE status held there, and my SA told me that means this car won't be stuck at VPC.

So anyone has such situations? Thanks

In alot of cases that ive seen, unfortunately this can happen. However i have friends that never had a stop sale. Hopefully you wont have any! But dont be surprised if you do.

Yeah I've seen people from other threads went straight through VPC with no stop sale.
