No, but it will run cooler than other non shielded competitors intakes in the open air box class..

They are fairly large and the filter area is especially large with the inverted front cone filter.

Installed this MAD intake last night, got some time w it today. I actually switched over from the Dinan. I was really missing my sshhh / psssshh noises, which were fairly muted w the Dinan. The MAD sounds great, can easily hear the turbos w the windows down, and a bit w them up on the freeway. Looking to sell the Dinan now.

For anyone doing the install, I think I photo documented the puzzle of various sized edge trim lol. Only other thing of note was that before tightening the driver side 'airbox' down to the body, I pushed it back and towards the driver side. Tightening it w this tension on it just gives the box a bit of clearance from the blue AC cap that's over there.

Would recommend!

Mine came the same way. My box was also missing the installation hardware and the padding that goes around the heatshield...

Sorry for the issues you had with your order. The dealer you purchased it from should of resolved the missing parts issue with you. If not please reach out.

We have a easy fix coming for those of you with the logo issue.
