Hi Everyone,

Looks like we found a clutch that works perfectly from PTB. More testing is being done but there is a group buy set up.

That’s the one I have yea and it’s like stock.

1-organic
2-ceramic
With dampener
No upgraded pressure plate

What’s the benefit of running two different discs?

Do you have any tips on the installation? We've just fitted one after a dealer installed a Clutchmaster kit, which was terrible. Now suspecting that the dealer screwed up the original installation as the new PTB-R kit is behaving in a similar fashion.

The PTB install supposed to be on the short side, should be marketed with blue. Don’t forget to reset the springs if your dropping the trany again

5 successful installs, biggest tip would be not going to BMW dealer, go to a shop that specializes in racing and modding, preferable bmw or euro.

I installed CM on long and short and got 3 clutches which were consistent in one thing… failing

All companies mark the setting, there is no special way to install the clutch other than that.

Any idea what the trans weighted? I’m going to do it myself on jack stands soon.

Which clutch option did you go with? I’m getting ready to order and undecided between double orangic or mix and match.

Update: please make sure you run under 700TQ which is now the found limit of above set up.

To push more you need: both ceramic and upgraded pressure plate which is a slight added cost, still the only working alternative to stock

Just got my PTB clutch installed. Same setup as mentioned before. Shop had no issues and fits perfectly. Will update again after a thousand miles or so of breaking it in.
