'Possible' PSA FOR 2025 G82 Orders: Tire/Wheel Changes for 2025 G82

I hope this helps some of you with pending or forthcoming '25 G82 orders - didn't see this mentioned elsewhere and thought it was an important call out. I have an order in (112 status) and had originally spec'd the Black 826M wheels, but decided to contact my dealer this weekend to switch to the 826M bi-colors. When referencing the 2025 order guide to ensure I provided my dealer with the precise code for the wheels, I noticed the following for the 1st time --- both the 825M Silver (1WL) AND the 826M Black (1U0) are listed as having 'mixed tires' instead of 'performance tires' like all of the other options. Per the 2024 order guide ALL wheels prior to the LCI came with performance tires, so this would be a switch for 2025.

I checked the online build configurator on the bmwusa.com site and it doesn't quite match the order guide info --- like the order guide, it shows the 825M silver wheels as coming with 'mixed tires', but shows the 826 Black wheels with 'performance tires which is different than the order guide. I have copied/pasted the wheel information from the 2025 G82 order guide at the end of this message for reference.

Bottom line - if you are ordering a 2025 G82 with either 825M Silver OR 826M Black wheels, you 'may' not be getting performance tires - you may want to confirm with your dealer before your order is finalized.

EDITED NOTE: Others have stated that 'mixed' = 'performance' so this may be a non-issue.

There is no actual change, In BMW terms “mixed” just means staggered widths and they are using the label inconsistently on the configurator.

Sorry if this is a false alarm - in my past experience with bmw, I've always interpreted 'mixed' as equating to all-season tires, but if this is not the case, then nothing to see here.
