It absolutely is, but a proper tuned car is just so much better than stock. I've tuned every car I've had it makes a world difference- but shame on that man there are some snakes in this business
You are absolutely right! I still tuned my 488 after the incident. I'm also looking to tune m3 in the near future. And I'm better prepared this time if anything happens

Who did you use for the 488 tune? Novitec has a good one. What kind of power did you get after the tune? I've seen a 488 with novitec ecu tune, exhaust and some other parts rail out 780hp at the wheels! Was 6xx for torque at the wheels as well. Incredible

Nice! How do you like it? Is it hard to put down all that power on a launch?

OP, do you have pictures on where they harness are installed?
I have seen a few BMW "master" tech or "I know my car" installed RaceChip wrong.
Maybe I can help.

I'm returning this, probably wanna ask them to compensate for the installation as well. They claimed do it yourself but for g8x it definitely requires some special skill.
I remember Gordon Ramsay said at one of his show that his dish can be easily done at home by yourself.
But, since I am not a cook and have common sense, I know that his dish isn't DIY-able by me.
I would rather go to a good restaurant and let the guy who know how to cook, cook a good meal for me.

OP, I know you're frustrated, and there is a good possibility that everything is installed right. With that said, Ben is super helpful and knowledgeable and you should definitely run over everything with him and see if a solution can be found.

The ease, or lack of it, has nothing to do with RaceChip. It has to do with the boost sensor location that BMW placed as you know very well.

Im glad my installer knew/knows his shit as well

Ive taken my RC's off and on probably 10 times over 3 different M's with no issues of course.

I feel bad for the OP and hope it all works out.

Can you take closer picture on the Harness A?
Feel free to email me directly too.

Out of topic, are you Indonesian? Just a guess from your name.

RWD G8x aint gonna do 10's without stage 2 or 3 and higher octane fuel.... Or R888R and super glue. The AWD will cut 10's no problem with a tune only. #gamechanger

I have yet to lose traction with my RWD G80 on dry pavement with traction control off flooring it. So I’m not sure your statement is entirely accurate.

I’m not saying you’re wrong brother. All I’m saying is I can’t get the tires the spin. In rain yes. I’m sure the all wheel drive will be a couple of tenths of a second faster. The factory says it will be.

No offense taken and thank you for clarifying It does stick real nice in the dry and the mid corner traction is legit super car level. I think the launch is difficult tho and in order to cut a 10 a car needs to be violent off the line, or pull like a turbo s. Neither of which are attributes of the stock rwd, unfortunately. If they could do it tho it would be legendary, i would love it.

The launch control sucks on this car. However I’ve been hoping that it’s been user error this whole time.
