I know a bunch of us have been waiting, waiting waiting for months and many have gotten onto this vessel over the weekend. I thought I'd make a thread to track it and help calm our excitement over the next few weeks!

Vessel Name: Capricornus Leader
Currently en route to: Panama Canal as of 7/10/2022
Current ETA at Port Hueneme: 7/31/2022

So excited to finally join this thread. Confirmed with Genius this morning that I'm on Capricornus Leader. I placed my order in Oct. 2021, received an allocation Jan. 2022, and then was build week 10 -> 12 -> ??? -> 18 -> 19 -> ??? -> 25. Been a long wait, but I'm happy it will be over soon.

Congrats to all! We finally made it. It's so nice having a general idea now when to expect delivery. I can start planning for my first mods as well. BMW NA said left Bremerhaven July 8th with ETA of 19 days to CA July 27th. Shipping schedules and tracking still show July 31st, we'll see.

Congrats! How long were you at port for? I placed my order in October as well and finally got an allocation in March, so I feel your pain

I finally made it too! Original build week 9 delayed to 20, at port since May 11. Changed to in transit on June 25 then back to at port a few days later. So excited to finally have the car!

I made it to the port on 6/25. It's been a smooth process once my car started production, it just took a while to get there haha.

Same here, got my allocation the first week of Feb with an original week 9 build, and pushed to 11, 13, 26, and finally 20. Nice to see we finally made it!

It's about time. I ordered my G82 back on August 29 LAST YEAR!! Finally, it's on the way!! I called BMW Genius this morning after I saw that my car was "In transit" and they told me it left the port on 7/8, last Friday and was scheduled to arrive in Port Huememe on 7/27, which seems overly optimistic. 7/31 seems more likely but there could be delays at sea due to bad weather, including tropical storms and hurricanes this time of year as well as back up getting into the Panama Canal. At least its finally on the way.

Hopefully not too long once the ship docks in Hueneme to when we get our cars!

I'm with Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas, so they're kinda right over the mountain.

I think that's the exact same timeline as me! I got my production number Feb 2!

Subscribed. I just flipped to "in transit" this morning. Luckily, since my CA gave me a call a couple of weeks ago and gave me the shipping schedule for my VIN, it wasn't a big surprise. After a 4 month wait for a production number, then another 4 month wait for the car to be built, followed by a 2 month "at port" stint, I don't have a ton of anticipation left in me... but I will definitely enjoy the car when it comes.

cheers all on board. The best part is no more checking My Garage for a bit. In 2 weeks we'll be at Panama and a week after at port. Then a week or two (less in some of your cases) to the dealership. Hopefully all goes smooth for us from here on out because we deserve that.

Couldn't agree more. This process has been exhausting and sadly has sucked the excitement out of a lot of us. But I'm sure others feel the same way as I do: Now knowing the car is on a ship and delivery day is actually in sight, the anticipation is growing once more. I'm sooo glad we all got on the ship together! I guess we were in some random cluster fck. It also goes to show, the dealership and higher ups do know more then we think. A little over a week ago the GM told me I was going to be on Capricornus leader, so they obv know not then they let on 🤔

Talking about designing the excitement, my friend ordered a carrera s last July that has been sitting at port since April 25th. She called when she heard my car was on a boat and they told her that it was showing 9/2/2022 for her delivery. She also got a message about a week ago that it had just arrived on the west coast but it was a system glitch!

I think they have to jump through some hoops to get the information but it can be done. However they'd rather play stupid.
